Bose Sounddock 30 Pin Bluetooth Adapter Survey I think the majority of complaints people will have with this device regard its range. Remember, Bluetooth is SHORT range radio. So this works awesome in the 10 meter / 30 feet range. But if you're halfway across the house, it's probably going to suck. I was apprehensive about buying this because a couple people complained about interference. However, the Bose store promised I could return it if it didn't work, so I bought it. Setup was super easy, and I was playing my kids favorite music in no time. The device is setup right by our wireless router, XBOX, etc. I decided that a simultaneous "Speed Test" from two different wirelessly connected computers would spit out lots of radio signals and interference. Guess what? The Bluetooth SoundDock 10 kept right on playing the music, absolutely without a hitch. Couldn't recommend this product more highly. I love the SoundDock 10, but in the store we were trying it out and my son snatched the iPhone out of the player. Not the best behavior . . . but probably more likely than not with kids. This lets you have your iPhone or iPod wherever you want . . . and not attached to the player. Highly recommended for wireless playback. Sounds absolutely great, and I cannot tell a difference between the wireless Bluetooth connection and a wired connection. It's that good. Just remember, it's not meant for a long distance connection. This is a short range, wireless connection. So keep your phone or player in the same room (that is what Bluetooth is for, after all) and you'll have no troubles. First of all for the amount of money I spent on the Sounddock 10, I believe that bluetooth capability should have been built in. Now I bought this product and in order to use it I had to take out the dock and put this bluetooth thing instead, so I lost the ability to have my iPod touch sit inside the Sounddock 10 and charge. Now there was some loss in volume when I used this dock but the Sounddock 10 is still plenty loud. I was at a Brookstone and found a Bluetooth adapter that gave me an idea. I then searched Amazon and this product had the best reviews and I bought this Logitech I have used my iPhone other Bluetooth equipment like Jambox with no issues. So I know my phone works. But this overpriced Bose dock is terrible, with intermittent sound cut-offs at random intervals. I thought I had a defect unit, and got it exchanged - but that didn't help. Tried my wife's iPhone 4S as well - same problem. Finally read another reviewer commenting that this product doesn't work with Wifi enabled on the phone - tried switching Wifi off on my phone, and sure enough it works fine. Very unusual and not helpful since I use Wifi to stream music to the iPhone in the first place. I am returning it. it is a very nice product. . you will not see any difference in sound quality when listening wirelessly. . a great product . . . very useful as you can operate soundock 10 remotely from you iphone or ipod. . . ! I didn't purchase this thru Amazon but I will like to let interested people in purchasing this item to know that is not rocket science to know that a wireless data source will not be the same than a wired one. It's normal that the sound quality gets impacted; however, I'm not experiencing any issues. The sound is great so far and I love it. This works great with the black berry, iPod touch and my laptop with Win 7. Vista is not working (who cares about Vista anyway?). The quality and fidelity is awesome and the best thing is that you can control the party from your pocket. Sometimes I'm in my bed, with my laptop (poor speakers) resting in my belly watching a movie and I sync the system with the soundock and it sounds awesome. Regarding the distance, I tried it with more than 15 feet of distance and no distortion. It's super easy to install. Perfect for a below average end user. :)
