WEEK 1 | JUNE 11 - 15 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | MONDAY, JUNE 4 Mosaics with Katherine Petke Ages 10+ | 9 AM - 12 PM Stepping stones, wall art, coasters and more. Let your imagination lead the way as you use papers, seeds, glass and tiles to make mosaics. Nonconventional use of common materials is encouraged! Experimentation with materials is a must. Several new techniques will be taught daily. Polymer Clay Food Jewelry with Ciera Hunt Ages 8+ | 1 - 4 PM You can play with your food in this camp! Create adorable handmade polymer clay charms that look just like your favorite treats - burgers, donuts, pizza, ice cream cones, and chocolate chip cookies. Perfect for charm bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.

WEEK 2 | JUNE 18 - 22 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | MONDAY, JUNE 11 Tie-Dye Everything with Katherine Petke Ages 10+ | 9 AM - 12 PM Experiment with color by learning the art of tie-dyeing a masterpiece! In this class, students will learn about the color wheel and all its possible color combinations, and will learn how to create the different patterns and designs that can only be created through tie dyeing. Each child will need to bring two white t-shirts to the class. All About Color! with Mary Andrews Ages 6-9 | 1 - 4 PM Students explore the colors around them - in everyday life and in different works of art, including pieces by famous artists. Activities include color mixing, viewing art, and “color hikes” where students look for colors in outdoor surroundings and in various art exercises. Projects include drawing, collage, and painting a complete acrylic landscape on canvas.

WEEK 3 | JUNE 25 - 29 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | MONDAY, JUNE 18 FUNctional Pottery with Katherine Petke Ages 10+ | 9 AM - 12 PM Spend your morning getting dirty without getting into trouble while learning the “pinch” method to build cups and bowls, trivets, sea creatures, and more. Give your work some color – accentuate the positive with paint and glaze with food safe materials. Select pieces will be fired, and will be ready to pick up the following week at Downtown Artistry at the Gettys Center, 201 E. Main St., 1st Floor. Classical Drawing with Mary Andrews Ages 6-9 | 1 - 4 PM Drawing realistically can be a real challenge. In this camp, students learn how to draw using tried and true methods used by the masters while exploring the elements of shape, shading, composition, drawing texture.


WEEK 4 | JULY 9 - 13 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | MONDAY, JULY 2 Exploring Drawing with Kim Cash Ages 11-14 | 9 AM - 12 PM Learn how to see with an artist’s eye and draw using traditional techniques involving perspective, proportion, and value while developing your own artistic style and voice. Create drawings based on first-hand observations, still life, portrait and figure drawing, and landscape/cityscape using traditional drawing materials such as graphite, oil pastels, and charcoal. Exploring Art Through Nature with Mary Andrews Age: 6-9 | 1 - 4 PM Explore art through the beauty and diversity in nature. View art made from natural sources, draw wildlife, paint the phases of the moon, and make crafts from items gathered in nature.

WEEK 5 | JULY 16 - 20 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | MONDAY, JULY 9 Art, Naturally with Angie Clinton Ages 6-8 | 9 AM - 12 PM Stamp your passport with a different activity daily as you explore a different project each day in this eclectic art camp. Learn new techniques as you paint a fluorescent zebra, fields of colorful poppies, and multi-media sandy, summer beach scenes. Create quirky animals, and explore patterns as they occur in nature.
