B booking essential (via web or phone) Above and Below Family Event Saturday 7th May, 10am – 3pm RSPB Bempton Cliffs and YWT Living Seas Centre, Flamborough Enjoy mesmerising wildlife above and below the waves on this unique family event, with two hours spent at each of these wildlife packed seaside locations. Cost: £6 per child when member of YWT or RSPB/£10 per child non-member. Accompanying adults free. S F B www.ywt.org.uk RSPB Seabird Photography Workshop Saturday 7th May, 9.30am to 12.30pm RSPB Bempton Cliffs Award winning wildlife photographer Steve Race reveals the secrets of capturing that perfect image. This small group workshop will be tailored towards beginners and enthusiasts and will cover the essential skills of wildlife photography. Cost: £45.00 per person (maximum 6 people). Seashore Safari Saturday 7th May, 10am – 12 noon Meet outside Bakers Snacks on the Coble Landing, Filey Join Filey Bird Observatory’s Marine expert Sue Hull as she takes a hands-on look at Filey’s amazing seashore life! Children are welcome, and please wear wellies or sensible footwear. This event is weather dependent - please check www.fbog.co.uk the evening before for confirmation. Cost: Free event, donations welcome RSPB Bioblitz Sunday 8th May, All Day Drop in Event RSPB Bempton Cliffs Join the RSPB Team and local naturalists to help discover just how much wildlife there is at RSPB Bempton Cliffs – no prior knowledge necessary to join in and all ages welcome! Cost: Normal admission charges apply Filey’s Secret Seabird City Sunday 8th May, 12 noon – 1pm Meet in the top car park in Filey Country Park Join Filey Bird Observatory’s Mark Pearson for a close-up look at Filey’s amazing seabird colony from above - bustling with guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars and more... all just a minute’s walk from the car park! Telescopes provided, bring binoculars if you have them. This event is weather dependent - please check www.fbog. co.uk the evening before for confirmation. Cost: Free event, donations welcome Bird Ringing Demonstration Tuesday 10th May, 9am – 12 noon Living Seas Centre, Flamborough Join us for a bird ringing demonstration with members of Flamborough Bird Observatory and East Yorkshire Ringing Group. This is a drop in event - come along anytime between 9am and midday. Cost: Free event


Seashore Walk Wednesday 11th May, 3.30pm – 6pm Living Seas Centre, Flamborough Join us for a seashore walk from the Living Seas Centre, along the beach to Dane’s Dyke and back along the cliffs, looking out for wildlife on the way. Cost: £5 per adult, or £3 per YWT member. Accompanying children under 15 go free. S B www.ywt.org.uk Marine Conservation Walk and Talk Thursday 12th May, 1pm – 3pm RSPB Bempton Cliffs Join Heather Davidson of the Flamborough Head European Marine Site Management Scheme for an informative walk along the headland, looking out for wildlife on the way. Cost: £3 per person (normal admission charges apply) Above and Below Photography Trip Friday 13th May, 7am – 5pm RSPB Bempton Cliffs Join Yorkshire Coast Nature on a photography trip of a lifetime to spend the day “above and below” the internationally important seabird colonies of Flamborough Headland and Bempton Cliffs. Seashore Scavenger Hunt Sunday 15th May, 2pm – 4pm Living Seas Centre, Flamborough Families are invited to join the Living Seas Team on the beach to take a look at what treasures have been washed up by the sea. Waves of Waste Filey Beach Clean Saturday 14th May 2016, 2pm – 4pm Meet at bottom of Martins Ravine/end Royal Parade Help clean Filey’s amazing coastline. Everyone is welcome though under 16’s should be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing and bring protective gloves if you have them. Litter pickers and sacks provided. Puffin and Gannet Cruise Sunday 15th May, 9.30am – 12.30pm Bridlington Bay The first of this season’s cruises! Sail along the spectacular 400-feet high chalk cliffs at Bempton and Flamborough Head. You’ll get so close (weather dependent) that you will feel you can almost reach out and touch the amazing seabirds. For those with cameras this can be a dream trip. Cost: Adults £22, Children aged 16 and under £11, Children aged 2 and under sail free. S B call 01262 422211
