The YTA Technology Leadership Awards recognize tech companies from the Greater Toronto Region that have demonstrated innovation and leadership in their field. The awards ceremony is one of the YTA’s premier events, and brings together the local tech community to network and celebrate success.

YTA Scholarship Program The YTA presents two scholarships every year to students studying to pursue a career in the fields of technology, science, engineering or math. Applications are open to students from York University and Seneca College, with one being awarded to a student from each school. In its inaugural year, the YTA Scholarship Fund received over 60 applications from York and Seneca students.

YTA Golf Tournament

One of the YTA’s most popular events is the YTA Golf Tournament. Held every August, this day of networking is highly anticipated througout the tech community. The YTA Golf Tournament will aim to raise funds to grow and expand the Scholarship Program.

YTA Priorities Communication is about building profile. Profile for the YTA; with our members, throughout the tech community, and with those who influence the success of the tech cluster. Collaboration is essential in order to succeed in today’s connected world. Research shows that fostering a strong and functional techcluster improves market success for participants where there is a bringing together of C-Level executives, skilled knowledge workers, financing, and education as well as responsible government collaboration. Recognition is a catalyst for success. Be seen for what you are doing – for it empowers us and enhances our influence with those that help shape our community. BootCamps YTA BootCamps oer attendees an opportunity to learn practical tools for growth and business improvement that tech companies tell us they need. Led by tech industry veterans, BootCamps are structured in a way that provides attendees with practical knowledge and a tool kit that they can implement as soon as they get back to the oďŹƒce. Content rich and focused, BootCamp attendance is limited so that instructors can engage everyone in the audience.
