DANCSOK - Carter Michael Larry (January 30, 2000 - November 15, 2015). Carter will always be remembered for his love for his family and friends, his hard work and dedication, his big heart and his love for animals. For the last year and a half he took on raising and breeding pigs with his step-mother, Amanda. Those pigs were his pride and joy and he was out there every day, whether it was building, fencing, feeding, or chasing the pigs back into their pen. He loved his dogs and enjoyed wrestling with them, and would roll around on the grass with them on a daily basis. His cats were also a huge part of his life, from wearing them around his neck, carrying them in his pockets or just cuddling on the couch. Carter loved every aspect of farming and the outdoors. He worked for three of his uncles on both cattle and grain farms. He loved the new independence of field work by himself, and was always full of stories after a hard day’s work. Whenever he could, Carter would be outside, whether it was squadding, hunting squirrels, or just dragging the yard with some harrows, just to be out there. Carter was an avid hunter and enjoyed the sport, or just shooting targets with his dad, or beaver hunting with his mom. He is lovingly survived by his father Desmond Dancsok and Stepmother Amanda Dancsok; the pride and joy of his life, his brothers Brock and Slater Dancsok. His grandparents, Larry and Jean Dancsok and Step-grandparents Eugene and Sandra Andrusiak. Carter is also survived by his Uncle Darwin (Rachel) Dancsok, Uncle Dale Dancsok, Uncle Dwight (Linda) Dancsok, Uncle Perry Dancsok, Auntie Pamela (Mark) Wushke, Uncle Patrick (Jaime) Dancsok, Uncle Donald (Krista) Dancsok, Auntie Priscilla Dancsok, Step-Uncle Daryl (Chastity) Andrusiak and numerous great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins and step cousins. Carter is also lovingly survived by his mother, Lisa Daley and Step-father Leo Daley; brothers Dawson and Broden Dancsok; sister Mckenzie Dales; stepsister Melissa Daley and Carter’s unborn sibling. Also surviving are his grandparents Lawrence and Donnie Gorniak; Uncle Darren (Sharon) Gorniak, Uncle Daniel Gorniak, Uncle Conrad (Kim) Gorniak and his Auntie Lori (Glenn) Todd and many cousins, step-aunties, step-uncles and pet animals; Lady, Laylie and Mya. Carter was predeceased by his greatgrandparents that shared time in Carter’s life, George and Leslie Green. Also left to mourn his passing are his animals; his 90lb. “lap dog” Tika, the co-op dog Toby; house cats Cleo, Shat and Honda; barn cats Crazy, Baby Crazy, Boo and Daisy and his 28 piglets, 4 yearling pigs, “Momma” sow and a boar. Carter would give you the shirt off of his back, if it was all he had left. He was a beautiful soul who always had a smile on his face and would do anything he could for anyone, especially his family. Carter was and always will be remembered as an amazing kid with a big heart. Arrangements were in care of Peter Carscadden Funeral Service, Esterhazy, SK. Donations in Carter’s memory can be made to Angels of Hope Animal Rescue, Esterhazy, SK. WEBER - Donald Alexander Weber, beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend: passed away in the early morning hours of November 28, 2015. Don was born in Yorkton, SK on November 11, 1949 the first son of eight children for Henry and Marie Weber. Donald was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Church was a big part of his life growing up and he even had thoughts of one day becoming a minister. Don received his primary education at the Stornoway, Dunleath and Yorkton Composite schools, graduating in 1967. It was at high school in Yorkton that he met the love of his life Barbara Dorn. Donald began his working career with Hancock Plumbing and Heating in Yorkton, SK after his brother-in-law, Henry Holzman, recommended him for a job. He loved the work and achieved his journeymen Sheet Metal ticket in 1970. That same year, with great joy, he married Barbara, with their son Wayne Trevor at his side, on November 6, 1970. Their second son, Grant Allan was born on November 24, 1971. In 1974, Don and Barb, with their two young sons in tow, set up shop in Roblin, MB. “Super Plumbing and Heating” soon became a household name. Don and his family were welcomed into the community and before long Roblin really began to feel like “home”. Family was always very important to him. He, Barb and the kids would make frequent trips to Yorkton to spend time with the Weber and Dorn families. Many memories of these visits are shared at family gatherings. On May 1, 1979, his baby girl, Arla Dawn was born and their family was complete. Don loved sports. He was his children’s biggest fan, watching them play hockey, baseball and Arla, in the show ring. Don was an active curler for many years and shared many fun times with friends on and off the ice. During the summer months, many weekends were spent at the lake. Camping, fishing and water skiing were favourite things to do with his family and friends. He taught his children to ski as well as most of their friends, along with many of his nieces and nephews. The time spent at the lake was about more than just fishing, it was where Don felt closest to his family and friends. It was in these times that bonds grew stronger. Another large part of Don’s life was spent in a red combine north of Roblin. It was here he helped Lloyd, Irene, Bruce and Marlene Elder harvest. He loved driving combine and was always proud to lend a hand to his friends. It was his fall vacation. Some people go south every fall, Don went north. Donald and Barbara celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary November 6, 2015. Their legacy of love can be seen in the love they shared with their children and eight grandchildren. Donald was a wonderful man with a lion’s heart. So strong but somehow soft, it seemed he had the answer to any problem. Be it those that were plumbing related or those that needed his kind and gentle guidance, he was there with a smile on his face. He will be missed by so many and fondly remembered. Donald is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 45 yrs. His children; Wayne and Gwen Weber of Niverville, MB, Grant and Bobbi Jo Weber of Langenburg, SK and Arla and Ryan Mann of Roblin, MB. He will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren; Rachel and Braden Weber, Bryn, Huston and Joar Weber and Grayson, Emery, and Aubree Mann. Left to mourn his passing are: his siblings, Dorothy (Gus) Steberl, June Dickie (Ernie Oblander), Linda (Russell) Matycio, Gloria (Clifford) Maximiuk, Warren (Linda) Weber and brother-in-laws George Lutz and Boris Hyshka (Colleen Miller) and Barbara’s siblings; Donna Tourand, Ray and Bev Dorn, Ken and Mary Dorn, Janis and Wally Fiedelleck; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a whole community of friends. Donald was predeceased by, and is united again with, his parents Henry and Marie Weber, his sisters Shirley Lutz and Donna Hyshka, his father and mother-in-law Elzear and Edith Dorn, brothers-in-law Henry Holzman, Joe Simon, Danny Tourand and Norman Dickie and his nephew Kevin Tourand. Donald’s family finds comfort in knowing he was welcomed Home to God by his family in Heaven. A funeral service was held at the Roblin Community Centre on Thursday, December 3, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Barry Wood officiating. Musician and soloist was Cheryle Zorn who sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “The Lord’s My Shepherd” and led the congregation in the singing of the recessional hymn “Abide With Me”. Don’s grandson, Braden Weber as urn bearer carried Don to his final resting place in the Roblin District Cemetery. Honourary urn bearers were grandchildren Rachel Weber, Bryn Weber, Huston Weber, Joar Weber, Grayson Mann, Emery Mann and Aubree Mann. Following the interment a reception took place at the Community Centre hosted by the Lutheran Ladies. Before lunch, the eulogy was delivered by Don’s children Arla Mann, Grant Weber and Wayne Weber followed by a video tribute, sharing of memories and a time of fellowship. Donations in memory of Donald Weber can be made to Roblin District Community Foundation, Box 1599, Roblin, MB, R0L 1P0

She was raised on the farm and received her education in the district. On December 14, 1935 Rose was united in marriage to Rudolph Sedens. The couple farmed south-east of Springside for the next 45 years and were blessed with two sons and two daughters. In 1975 the couple moved into Yorkton but Rudolph continued to farm, with a specialty of Hereford and Charolais cattle, and Rose tended to her large vegetable garden and flower beds. OLM - It is with deep sadness that we had to say farewell to Edna Elfreida Olm on the morning of Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was born on July 10, 1927 at Neudorf, SK to Mike and Elizabeth (nee Wirth) Yahnke. Edna was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. At the age of six she moved with her family to Churchbridge, where she took all of her education. When Edna was only 13 years old, her mother passed away, leaving Edna and her siblings the responsibilities of raising and caring for the family and house. Edna married the love of her life, Gordon Olm, on October 15, 1948. Together, they enjoyed many good and bad years of farming, while raising their four daughters. They lived in the town of Churchbridge where they started their family and in 1954 they purchased their farm south of Churchbridge. Gordon and Edna farmed, had a hog farrowing operation and also kept bees. They were fortunate to celebrate 52 years together as husband and wife. Edna always planted a large garden and was kept busy with canning and freezing. She loved to quilt and crochet and made sure that all of her children and grandchildren each had a quilt and afghan to keep them warm. In 1988, they purchased their home in Churchbridge, where Edna resided until the end of July. Declining health forced her into hospital and then into the Canora and later Yorkton nursing homes. Edna will be remembered for her feisty spirit, her home-cooked meals, especially her cabbage rolls and the vinitarta she made every Christmas. Edna had a love for life. She enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing and her soap operas, never to be disturbed while watching! She loved her family and was so thrilled when the grandchildren and great-grandchildren started arriving. She loved to play cards and games, especially Yahtzee, whist, Phase 10 and puzzles. She loved to go for coffee, to sit and visit with neighbours and friends. Edna was a very strong woman and would step up wherever needed. Edna loved her flowers and grew beautiful roses in her yard in town. She was very proud when her yard won an award for its beauty. Edna was a member of the Churchbridge Evergreen Club, volunteered at the Churchbridge Campground and was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church Altar Guild. Edna was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Gordon; sons-inlaw, Elwood Cherry and Larry Ziebart; two brothers in infancy, brothers, Reinhold, John and Ernest; sisters, Evelyn, Pearl, Gladys, Iris, Aradine and Ruth. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: daughters, Yvonne Cherry, Shirley Ziebart, Donna (Daryl) Bily and Debbie (Blaine) Hussey; grandchildren: Craig (Barb) Ziebart and their children, Logan and Hayden; Kimberley Ziebart; Colin and Jen Ziebart and their daughter, Sadie; Tamara (Sheldon) Sauser and their children, Mitchell, Kaitlyn and Bryce; Tara Bily (Aaron Matileg); Lorne Bily; Brad (Melissa) Bily and their children, Blake, Dallas and Dalton; Kris Hussey (Alexandra Exner); Amanda (Tyler) Robinson; sister, Vera Andrews; brothers, Victor (Marion) Yahnke; Verden (Carol) Yahnke; brother-in-law, Walter Miller; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Edna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Churchbridge, SK (under the auspices of Concordia Lutheran Church) with Pastor Daphne Bender officiating. The 23rd Psalm was read by Verden Yahnke and the eulogy was delivered by Kris Hussey. The organist, Barbara Sveinbjornson, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, “Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling”, “In the Garden” and “Amazing Grace”. The Interment Service followed in the Churchbridge Town Cemetery with Sheldon Sauser, Mitchell Sauser, Lorne Bily, Brad Bily, Kris Hussey and Tyler Robinson serving as casket bearers. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting www.christiesfuneralhome.com. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Christie’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

MUDEREWICH - Peter Muderewich of Yorkton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Peter was born on January 14, 1928 in the Stenen district of Saskatchewan to Fred and Pauline (nee Hykaway) Muderewich. He attended Gold Bank School until the age of 14 when his father passed away. He then stayed home to help with the family farm. This was the beginning of his farming career, which continued until his retirement. Besides enjoying the growing of crops he very much enjoyed repairing and rebuilding equipment and spent many hours in his workshop doing this. His skills and his welder allowed him to make implements for the farm as well as items such as a snowmobile and small riding tractor for his and his son’s recreational enjoyment. Despite the countless hours of hard work, Peter still found time for recreation. Family outings at the lake were common. Peter and Annie enjoyed several holidays together to destinations in the USA and Cuba. In his later years he had time to enjoy fishing and golf. He will be remembered for his love of nature and the outdoors. Peter married Annie Gurski of Stenen on July 23, 1950. They farmed in the Gold Bank district for a few years and then relocated to the Stenen district, where they continued to farm until their retirement to Yorkton in 1990. Even after retirement they continuously drove back to help out with the family farm. Predeceased by a brother Joseph; Peter is survived by his wife Annie; sons: Dale (Gloria) of Saskatoon; Randy (Linda) of White City; grandsons: Shaun (Sarah) of Vanscoy, and Kenton of Regina; sisters-in-law, Alvena Mudrewich of Chilliwack, BC; Nettie Slobodian of Stoney Creek, ON; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John (Pearl) Gurski of Stenen; and Tillie (Mike) Koniski of Winnipeg; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 1st 2015 from Westview United Church in Yorkton with Rev. Deborah Smith officiating. Organist, Laurel Teichroeb led members of the church choir and the congregation in the singing of the hymns ‘Precious Lord, take My Hand’, ‘In the Garden’, ‘Amazing Grace’, ‘Make Me A Channel of Your Peace’, and ‘Softly and Tenderly’. The interment took place in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Shaun & Kenton Muderewich, Bill Mudrewich, Gary Surcon, Andy Gurski and Paul Gazdewich serving as the casket bearers. Condolences can be left at baileysfuneralhome.com. Memorials were to the Alzheimers Society or to one’s charity of choice.
