GRAZIER - William Keith Grazier was born on July 12, 1925 to The Reverend William Grazier and his wife, Nellie at Strasbourg, SK. Keith spent his childhood years in Cupar and Moosomin along with his sisters, Joyce and Wilma. The family moved to Yorkton in 1940, where his father was appointed Rector of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. He completed his final three years of High School at the Yorkton Collegiate Institute (Y.C.I.), graduating from Grace 12 in June 1943. Later that year - in October - he was accepted for training in the Royal Canadian Air Force, became an Air Bomber and was commissioned as a Pilot Officer. The war ended just as his training was completed. Keith returned to Yorkton and started work with the Bank of Toronto (now known as TD Canada Trust). His banking career spanned 40 years and he was a well respected bank manager in many places across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He retired in Swan River, MB and in 2011 moved back to Yorkton where he and Vi remained until his passing. Keith enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family at his cottage at Madge Lake. Keith was active in various service clubs in every community he lived in. He was a devoted Anglican Church member and served on numerous committees over the years. He was a Licensed Lay Reader in the Dioceses of Saskatoon and Brandon and led many a service in parishes where there were no clergy available. Keith was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Doreen (Neelin); his daughter, Lynda Tavonius; his sister, Sister Frances Joyce and his grandson, Jeff Veitenheimer. He will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 62 years, Vi (Yuzek); his sister, Sister Wilma of Toronto, ON; his children, Ken (Donna) of Yorkton, SK, Clifford (Brenda) of Swan River, MB, Luanne (Randy) Hrywkiw of Yorkton, SK and David of Yorkton, SK. Papa will be sorely missed by his grandchildren, Curtis, Carrie Lyn and Corey Tavonius, Tim and Dan Grazier, Jason, Brock and Colin Hrywkiw and Matthew and Luke Grazier. He was blessed with nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his special cousins, Don and Cecile Gross of Regina, SK. We, his family, are so thankful for the gift of a truly wonderful man to share our lives with and his example of how to live a humble, kind and generous life. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Keith Grazier was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Yorkton, SK with the Reverend Ken Buchan officiating. The organist, Judy Berg, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, “Alleluia! The Strife is O’er”, “O Jesus, I Have Promised”, “You Who Dwell in the Shelter of the Lord” and “Praise My Soul the King of Heaven”. The Cremation Committal followed in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Columbarium with Ken, Clifford and David Grazier serving as the urn bearers. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting www.christiesfuneralhome. com. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Christie’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
