<3 al extremo este de la Macaronesia 2019 Master of Architecture Final Project Tutor: Iñaki Ábalos
ETSAM, Universidad Politéctica de Madrid
4
Love at the limit of east Macaronesia explores new ways of creating communities in relation to the landscape where they are located in, to not productive time, to leaisure and to recess. It neglects all notions of privacy and segregation due to unproductive hotel typologies that are vicious for the landscape and the community. The project consists on a virtual construction yet to be developed through climatic parameters and scenographic ones, but it takes place as a material and formal enforcement thanks to its relation with the territory and the productive landscape of La Geria.

FACTUM Realness Factory 2017
+info
architecture design w/ Luis Lecea, Andrea MuniĂĄin, MĂłnica Palfy Tutor: Federico Soriano With Honors grade for Factum Foundation at ETSAM, Universidad PolitĂŠcnica de Madrid
Factum is a foundation deditacted to heritage preservation through digital technics (scanning, photogrammetry, 3D printing), freezing, storing and reproducing time, history and culture. Their aim is to fabricate a facsimile for each of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, Egypt, in order to prevent further deterioration of the originals. Each step in the process implies time, and amount that provides a scale and a duration. With the current plan it would take 104 years for the client to see their goal accomplished. The tomb replicas are emphasised as unprecedented architectural objects. The demands on precision and attention to detail in the process of manufacturing the facsimiles are meet with airtight spaces, sealed from wind and dust from the desert. PVC curtains allow light to go through, enclosing the CNC machines and the grit they produce in the designated areas. In order to make the experience of the facsimile more authetic than the one of the original tomb, circulations are desing according to the optimum time for the eye to accomodate the 6amount of light.

action-pavilion 2017 Architecture proposal w/ Andrea Muniรกin
Finalist Mextrรณpoli 2017, Arquine Contest
8
The Pavillion proposal for Mextrรณpoli Festival 2017 is developed from an investigation of the public space quality in Mexico City. Through surveys and questionnaires at the same place of the contest, we elaborated a collective imaginary where we found the needs and problems of the current public space in the city. We catalog a series of actions to define how the citizen would like to inhabit their public space. These actions would materialize in different urban gadgets that will conform the whole set of the action-pavillion. The proposal does not have a final form nor use, the main objective is to provoke politically with architecture and urban design, at the moment we give the whole public space to the citizen.
The new digital landscape. Google StreetView’s distorted reality2018 Architecture degree Final Thesis
Tutor: Concepción Lapayese ETSAM. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid >full research
Digital cartographies have change our reality’s perception. Architecture becomes the field of visuality. Spatial logics go hand in hand with gaze devices. As Terra Incognita, from 16th century cartographies, condemned certain territories to their nonexistence, Google StreetView, in search of 1:1 representation, builds a new reality or a distorted one. This research aims to figure out the architectonic and spatial conditions of Google StreetView, focusing on distortion and invisibility and their direct consequences in our landscape, city and space perception. From an analytic perspective above concepts as representation, image and digital era, research lines are defined for the realization of a practical approach to the matter. This practical laboratory draws an heterogeneous exploration framework around the links of digital and physical reality. Based on the comparison and superposition of the distorsions and dynamics found on the actions made in the project, different interpretations of perception are proposed. The new landscape, territory and city imaginary through Google StreetView proposes a paradigm shift in the way we look, analyze, study and design architecture, city and territory today. 9
Dreamy ARCO 2016 Architecture research
researcher, designer & editor w/ Dreamy Kids for ARCO Madrid Contemporary Art Fair at ETSAM, Universidad PolitĂŠcnica de Madrid
The research studied the possibilities of improving and changing the materiality and spatiality of ARCO International art fair of Madrid. We elaborated a sequence of open and crossed proposals that allow the fair to think in alternative possibilities of the actual expositive disposition, which has been repeated every year withoutany changes. There are a lot of visitors profiles: collectors, curators, students‌ and the current fair respond to a standard profile. The new proposal attend to reveal the real variety of visitors, not uniformizing the galleries stands. 10

“Slide to unlock” is the exhibition i made during the artistic residence Swatch Creative Natives, during the festival Swatch Cities. This interactive installation took “The City” as a context with which we work and developed an investigation around the urban screens we found in Madrid. Fifty city screens were introduced at the same scale inside the exhibition space. This screens were devirtualized with different interpretations, materialities, projections, and videos we made through the city. Visitors could interact, self-project, tour the city through its screens. 12

AVATAR X CAMPER 2017 visual campaign
designer for Camper at Luis Ăšrculo Studio CDMX, Mexico
Worldwide intervention for Camper stores on diverse media: windows, posters, postcards. A synthesis of form and manifestation. Architectural Outbounds in-store. Group Show co-curator
@casantillon Madrid, Spain
This is an curatorial experiment with which we explored the limits of the artistic subject and the context around it. 255.255.255 2015-2019 architecture magazine editor, graphic designer
Shown at XVI Venice Architecture Biennale 2018 Spanish Pavilion
255.255.255 is a platform for experimental editorial architecture recurrently printed thanks to the support of the “Delegación de Alumnos de la Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid” (DAETSAM). 255 doesn’t publish architecture yet it publishes through architecture. This platform doesn’t just understand architecture in an explicit way, but as an experimental thinking and analysis process — furthermore as a way to generate action, which is also captured in the paper printed publication. 17

Solo show is the second exhibition by casa antillón. The event was conformed in two phases, the first one was an individual spatial appropriation followed by an accumulative event as the map of the previous subjectivities. The artists had understood the “Casa Banchel” space, a quirky house. They have worked as it was a solo show. Later on, the curators have gathered the 56 proposals in 24 hours, the content bocomes compressed in time and space. It is an accelerated proposal that will have different readings, both in the physical and in the virtual world. 18

Internet Protocol Adress of the digital hand digits “In-Between objects” aim to understand the digital ergonomics and corporality. The hand is detached as part of the subject, during its process of virtualization and objectification. The human tool, servant of our hands until now, transgresses its requirement and the hands are subordinate to our tactile and glass appendages. 22
Chromatrope 2018
Installation, performance Chroma fabric, fiberglass bars, 360ยบ camera
Chromatrope is an architectonic device developed from the visuality of Google Street View cameras. Fasmatrope, Zoetrope, Panoptic and Panorama among others, are studied as architectonic experiments from the 20th century where visuality, ocular range and eye angles directly configure the design in terms shape and spacial composition. Chromatrope is conceived as an architectural prototype of the visuality of the 21st century. It is an inverted Zoetrope that aims to understand contemporary architectonic image through digital tools such as 360ยบ photography. The digital landscape condenses inside, wich builds the exterior illusion, becoming a virtual and modificable construction. 23
