Three years ago, I was a lawyer working for the government as a graft investigator & prosecutor. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my job. The problem is spending time away from home and from my 3 kids. I lived in a part of Metro Manila that was 2 hours away from my workplace, but because of traffic, it took me 4 to 6 hours spent on the road on top of 8 hours of work. DAILY. I was missing my kids' milestones. My husband used to say that I gave my best to my job and then gave him and the kids the leftovers. It was a rocky time in my marriage. I realized then that my life purpose was not my career.

I WAS MISSING MY KIDS' MILESTONES. MY HUSBAND USED TO SAY THAT I GAVE MY BEST TO MY JOB AND THEN GAVE HIM AND THE KIDS THE LEFTOVERS.

I got a lot of resistance from friends and family when I was deciding to resign, mainly since I’ve had jobs at top litigation firms and a coveted post in the government. Honestly, throughout the early days of my resignation, I felt it too. From such a fast-paced job with stressful cases, I was relegated to changing diapers and breastfeeding 24/7. Nobody talks about this, but I began to feel that the domesticated wife and full-time motherhood was not as fulfilling for me. I began to feel lonely, boxed in, post-partum hormones and breastfeeding kept me up at night. It was hard to connect with old friends because of the lifestyle change. I am no longer able to stay out with girlfriends past 9pm and I could not just hop in a car and go wherever and whenever. I ran out of friends, but slowly gained new ones though - online. I put myself out there in mom groups, and I found that I wasn’t quite alone in my feelings of ineptitude at being a stay-at-home mom. I got inspirations like starting home-based businesses and what that would look like for me. Little did I know that I was in the early stages of building my Young Living community. As the community grew, so did my business. I felt something awaken in me that made me want more for myself, for my family, and for my life – all thanks to Young Living. Three years later, I still work from home. I now have more quality time with my family. I can pursue my hobbies while earning an incredible income that has blessed us so much. I am able to say YES to the things that I want. My organization now has over 200,000 members and it just blows my mind at how it has grown and continues to grow.

WORDS TO SAY

Try to remember your life before oils. Go back to your roots and remember your why’s - why are oils so close to your heart and why are you engaged with the Young Living business.

“Hi! You’ve crossed my mind lately. I remember when (recount a past experience with that person). How have you been?” (Stop talking and listen. Less talking and more listening. The more you listen, the easier you will find their need.)

Inspire others with the impact that Young Living has made in your life. Share your story, a before and after photo, or an individual product, and share in a way that is authentic to you. The key is to share at least two times each day with new people you come in contact with. You can never go wrong by sharing what you’re passionate about.

“How are you? (When person reciprocates to ask) I’m actually great! I found this amazing company and great products. What I thought was just a new hobby, slowly became one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. I think you’ll find joy in this too! (Share your story)”

If someone has shown interest in learning more about what product may be best for them, don’t be afraid to make a suggestion. At this point you’ve discovered their void and know what they need. Remember, you’re finding their need and filling it. Now is the time to fill them up!

“I remembered you encountered this before (recall person’s pain point) and I just wanted to share that I’ve found an amazing natural product to address it – (name of essential oil). I think this may help you too because (state product benefits).”

Enroll: If they’ve had a positive response to your recommendation, now is the time to ask how they’d like to get started. Don’t delay or second guess yourself. Get online and walk them through placing their first order so they get exactly what they need. Don’t be afraid to ask your circle for referrals. Ask if they have friends that could be interested with the products or the business.

Follow up: Follow up daily! As you reach out to two new people each day, follow up with two previous connections each day too! The average person needs more than one connection before making a decision. You may need to send another tool or invite them to an upcoming class or event. We recommend one day, one week, and one month.

Silver Bound Program What is Silver Bound? Silver Bound is a simple, achievable program that gives members a road map for ranking up to Silver—plus the opportunity to earn cash incentives. Enjoy Essential Rewards points or cash bonuses when you meet the time, leg, and organization group volume (OGV) requirements at any of the featured ranks. The longer you maintain your rank, the more we’ll reward your efforts! Who Can Participate? This program was created for new members, first-time Stars, first-time Senior Stars, and first-time Executives. Existing members may be eligible to participate. Rules and conditions apply.

How has Silver Bound changed? Each of the four bonus tracks now include an element of maintenance. To receive the full bonus payout for each bonus track, the bonus requirements must be achieved each month of the corresponding maintenance window. The longer you maintain, the more you earn and the stronger your organization will be.

Note: Silver Bound is an ongoing performance promotion that will allow Young Living the flexibility to better serve members by refining and adapting to changing business needs. It is not a permanent program as compared to the other bonuses in the Compensation Plan.

DEFINITIONS Enroller: The person responsible for introducing a new member to Young Living. Enrollers are eligible to qualify for financial bonuses, including the Fast Start and Starter Kit bonuses.

Earn a generous 25% bonus, up to $200 each, on your new, personally enrolled members’ orders during the first three calendar months!

Second-level enrollers earn 10%, up to $80 each, on the newly enrolled members’ orders described above during the same time period!

Sponsor: A new member’s direct upline and main support. The sponsor may also be the enroller. PV (Personal Volume): The total monthly volume of your personal orders. OGV (Organization Group Volume): The monthly volume of your entire organization. PGV (Personal Group Volume): The monthly volume in an organization, excluding any Silver or higher rank volume and any qualifying leg(s) volume. Leg: Each personally sponsored member is considered first level and a separate leg within an organization.

If a member or preferred customer enrolls on ER with a 100 PV order at any time—excluding the wholesale membership enrollment month— the enroller will earn an additional $15 bonus once the ER order processes successfully.

Earn a one-time $25 cash bonus when your new, personally enrolled member orders the Premium Starter Kit! Member must purchase a Premium Starter Kit in the same month as enrolled to qualify.

LV (Leg Volume) @ OGV: The number of legs and the amount of monthly OGV required for each leg to qualify for each rank. Level: The position of a member within an organization. Members who are directly sponsored by another member are considered the sponsoring member’s first level. Those members who are sponsored by a member’s first level are considered that member’s second level and so on.

Compression: If a member does not meet the 100 PV qualification to earn commissions, his or her volume, if any, is combined, or “compressed,” with all the volume of members down to and including the next qualifying member in the organization with at least 100 PV. Unilevel: Unilevel is a term used to define the percentage of commission earned for each level. Qualifying members with 100 PV earn 8% on the PV of each member on the first level within their organization, 5% on the second level, and 4% on the third through fifth levels depending on rank achieved that month.

Personal Generation Commissions: Additional commissions are paid to members who achieve the rank of Silver or higher on all volume within each leg of the organization, down to but excluding the next Silver or higher ranked member within the leg. Generation: A Silver or higher ranked member and his or her entire organization. Generation Commissions: Based on a member’s monthly rank of Silver or higher, an additional 3% commission is paid on the OGV of each Silver or higher in the member’s organization. This commission is paid down to the next Silver or higher ranked member and down to eight generations deep in each leg. Essential Rewards (ER): For our members convenience we have a monthly ordering program that allows them to order products which get automatically shipped to them each month. Based on their purchases they can earn loyalty rewards points (ER points) which can be redeemed for free product.
