Dear friends, Being neat and clean is an important trait that we all should maintain in our lives. Cleanliness has many aspects and two of them are the cleanliness of our body and our surroundings. On the first level we should brush our teeth daily with frequent hand wash before and after meal, taking regular bath. And on the second level we should keep our surroundings clean because man is social animal and for healthy society cleanliness is an important aspect. We should avoid throwing rubbish carelessly in public places and spitting on roads. The habit of cleanliness keeps us healthy, saves us from many diseases and gives a pollution free environment. Take care, Edi

being available on time. Punctuality is etiquette. Punctuality is all about doing things timely and being aware of the importance of time. It helps in managing one’s own time thereby respecting others’ as well. Regular and punctual

students always shine bright in their exams. They earn respect of their teachers. But those who are habitually latecomers become a laughing stock in their classes and give poor performance. Such students also lose the trust of friends and their teachers. If you are one of those latecomers then you must remember that punctuality is a secret for you academic success as well as the success in your career. But how do some students manage to be on time every single day when you find it so difficult? The truth is, they are the students who arrive early every day. Following are some tips which can help you to be punctual.

up early one morning and time yourself (moving at a normal pace) to see how long it takes you to get ready. You may be surprised at the time it takes, especially if you find you have been trying to squeeze forty minutes worth of grooming into fifteen minutes each morning. Know exactly when you need to be at your school and subtract ten or fifteen minutes to establish your arrival time. This will give you time to chat with friends. What time are you expected to be seated in your first class? If class begins at 7:45, you should arrive at the school by 7:30 and be in your seat at 7:40.

Understand the importance of being on time: Students who are always on time are those who earn the best grades, win scholarships, and get into great colleges. They all realize the importance of time and do not waste it. In the working world, the people who are always on time are the people who get promotions.

Be open to your teacher’s

Get enough sleep: If you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, then make a serious effort to go to bed earlier. Sufficient sleep is essential for maximum brain function anyway, so you really don’t want to ignore this aspect of your scholastic habits. Give yourself a realistic amount of time to dress and groom: You can do this with a simple exercise: Get

preferences: Does your teacher want you to be seated early? If your teacher wants you to be in class before the bell rings, then do so if it’s possible-even if you don’t agree. Don’t get angry and blame others if they aren’t meeting the teacher’s expectations. Why cause trouble for yourself? Communicate any problems: If your bus is always late or you have to take your younger brother to school and it always makes you late, just explain this to your teacher. Set your clocks forward by ten minutes. This is a dirty little psychological trick that many people play on themselves. The funny thing is that it really works!

dog

A man had a little dog, and he was very fond of it. He would pat its head, and take it on his knee, and talk to it. Then he would give it little bits of food from his own plate. A donkey looked in at the window and saw the man and the dog. “Why does he not make a pet of me?” said the donkey. “It is not fair. I work hard, and the dog only wags its tail, and barks, and jumps on its master’s knee. It is not fair.” Then the donkey said to himself, “If I do what the dog does, he may make a pet of me.”

So the donkey ran into the room. It brayed as loudly as it could. It wagged its tail so hard that it knocked over a jar on the table. Then it tried to jump on to its master’s knee. The master thought the donkey was mad, and he shouted, “Help! Help!” Men came running in with sticks, and they beat the donkey till it ran out of the house, and they drove it back to the field. “I only did what the dog does,” said the donkey,” and yet they make a pet of the dog, and they beat me with sticks. It is not fair.”

Once there was a little boy who had bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy drove 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper

than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that he should now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the

hand and led him to the fence. He said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you Apologize, the wound is still there. A verbal wound is worse than physical wound.”
