Profile Founder of a youth-led and youth-focused organization: Young People We Care (YPWC). A committed activist and a highly motivated person in the youth development sector with more than one year experience as a project manager of a team of fifteen young people. Excellent team-work, listening, conflict resolution and time management skills. I recently completed my four-year undergraduate studies at the University of Cape Coast where I read Economics and Geography as my major courses leading to the award of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences.
Objective To pursue a challenging position that will allow me to utilize and expand my experience, technical, and analytical skills while contributing positively to the goals of the organization. Ambition and desire for change are my key motivators for success. Under the overall guidance and direction of the Project Manager of the UNDP Civil Society Resource Centre (CSCR) and the Focal Person of the EC-UN Joint Migration and Development Initiative, I perform the following tasks: (1)Day to day administrative and operational tasks (setting up meetings, processing reimbursements, assisting in procurement processes, etc.) (2) Distribution of documents, including Reports of meetings (dealing with daily enquiries for copies of the report, forwarding reports to various interested stakeholders) (3) Providing assistance in terms of logistical arrangements, etc
(4) Providing assistance on the content work (i.e. taking notes at meetings, doing power points, managing translation work, etc.) (5) Updating CSRC website, including getting information from various UN agencies and NGOs. Young People We Care (YPW C) Executive Director

As the Founder and the Executive Director of YPWC my roles and responsibilities are: (1) to implement policies and make sure that Project Officers work to meet the strategic plans of the organization; (2) to assist the Board of Directors of YPWC in the review and ongoing development of policies and our strategic plan; (3) to inform and advise the Board of Directors/Advisory Board of YPWC on matters relevant to the management of the organization in the capacity as an ex officio member of the Board, to inform and advise the Board of matters relevant to the governance of the organization; (4) to ensure, in conjunction with the Board, that the organization meets its constitutional, legal and financial responsibilities; (5) to liaise, network and represent the organization with funding bodies and key organizations.

Projects and Volunteer Programmes • Lead a team of fifteen youth volunteers to carry out an action project on the Goal Six (6) of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in December 2005. • Organized a UN Millennium Campaign "STAND UP" event on the 15th and 16th of Oct. 2006. • Coordinated a UN Millennium Campaign STAND UP event that brought together over 9050 young people to “STAND UP against poverty and for the MDGs” on the 16th and 17th Oct. 2007 • Project Advisor for the “MDGs Advocacy Youth Declaration…Voice of Young People” an advocacy youth book project under the auspices of YPWC and the UN Millennium Campaign. • Project Coordinator of Youth Consultation on Migration and Development, 14th of September-11th of October, 2008 hosted by YPWC with support from UNICE Voices of Youth,TakingITGlobal , Global Youth Action Network and Migrants Rights International
