Major: Biology/Bio-Chemistry

Research Assistant, Chemical and Biological Sciences

In the words of her nominator:

“Kira entered my laboratory with a solid, yet moderate level of bench‐level competence as well as significant drive to succeed. Together, these qualities formed the basis for the rapid expansion of her skill set competency and quality, in addition to enhancing her self‐confidence. When combined with her work ethic and outgoing personality, Kira has exhibited tremendous growth in initiative and reliability. As noted above, she has gone well beyond the expectations set forth in her job description. In fact, Kira has begun to establish herself as a professional microbiologist/biochemist with a very promising career path As such, I am most confident that Kira wholly emulates the foundational qualities –growth and competency – that form the basis of the Sirius Award.”
