The home’s exterior received new landscaping to create a look that better suits the inside of the home and the Siegals’ personal tastes, thanks to Jeff Edwards, the founder, owner, and lead designer at Bloomwater. “As you approach the home, Bonnie wanted the landscaping to better reflect the design inside,” says Edwards. “I came up with a plan that is cohesive with clean and contemporary lines. This lends a less tropical and more modern feel to the home’s exterior.” This look is achieved through the vegitation Edwards chose as well as custom planters that feature a mix of cement and metal that contrasts with the natural landscape. An inlay of artificial turf in the driveway also makes the beds appear larger and more substantial than they originally were for a high-end look. Topiary gives height and balance but has been sculpted in a more modern, square shape.
