Where has that summer sun gone? After the hottest June on record, I find myself writing this looking out over sodden fields, horses adorned in rugs and the sound of heavy rain against the windowpane, here’s hoping that as we head into the summer months that the clouds’ part and make way for the more glorious weather that we all long for before the darker nights roll in.

The recent rainfall will however certainly help with the going of this summer’s eventing season, with some big competition scheduled over the coming months we take a look at some of our upcoming favourites, from Gatcombe, Blenheim to Burghley, there’s certainly enough sport going on to keep you busy this season, keep up to date on what’s what and where too this season in our fabulous eventing feature starting on page 12!
