Happy New Year! Because of the continued support from the people of York and surrounding area we are able to offer cancer patients their chemotherapy treatment closer to home in our mobile unit. We also provide over 100 families affected by cancer every year a short respite break in either Filey or Whitby. We’ve raised more than £15m over three decades, which has helped us support pioneering cancer research at the University of York’s Jack Birch Unit, establish York Hospital’s Cancer Care Centre, buy a minibus to take patients for radiotherapy, and spread cancer prevention messages to schools throughout York. This year, we’re looking forward to even more success through the generosity of people like you. We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks and wish you a great 2020.
