…and hello summer! There’s no better place to be for the sunniest season of the year than our lovely city of York. Obviously there are loads of things to do (that’s why we have the biggest events and theatre diary), but even if you’re not headed for the Eboracum Roman Festival or the Shakespeare Rose Theatre (which you definitely should be), you’ll have a wonderful time just rummaging through the city’s markets, shops and gardens. Get your Bake Off on for Bloom! on the 22nd-23rd June, or discover more about York on the go with York Civic Trust’s free walks on the 21st June. Oh, and why not check out the York Festival of Ideas from the 4th-16th June? You’ll find a bit of everything there such as talks, exhibitions and films – plus you might just learn something. Whatever you get up to this June, slap on the sun cream, invest in an ice cream and enjoy yourselves!
