Hello October…we’ve been expecting you.
Are we going to be spending most of the month wrapped up in our duvets? Probably. But, as inviting as that sounds, there is no reason to hibernate fully just yet as we have a very exciting, action-packed events diary here in York.
It is spooky season which means the haunted, historic past of York will come alive - with pumpkin patches and scary tours aplenty, there’s lots of ground to cover this October.
For the very daring amongst you, prepare to be spooked as Hallowscream at York Maze makes a return. For the brave, there are the Paranormal Research real-life ghost hunts or if you fancy stepping into York’s ghostly past, learn about the treasonous Guy Fawkes with an Invisible Cities walking tour, or watch him on stage at the Theatre Royal.
Beyond the spooks and scares, York’s food scene is buzzing this month. York Restaurant Week returns to grace us with fantastic food and drink offers. Yorktoberfest also makes a return bringing with it plenty of bratwurst, beer-filled steins, and fun-filled entertainment.
And, for those of you who want to let your hair down, there are loads (and we mean LOADS) of music-filled events coming up. From Motown to 90s bangers, Freddie Mercury to Abba, classical orchestra to local musical legends, Steve Cassidy Band, there’s certainly something to suit every music taste.
Whilst the promise of a duvet day sounds extremely inviting, we hope you enjoy all York has to offer this autumn.
We would love to hear from you!
