Pasta Festival at Canary Wharf
from Your Marylebone
London’s first ever Pasta Festival, hosted by Emilia’s Crafted Pasta, is back and bigger than ever. Taking place on 16th of July in Canary Wharf and following on from the success of last year, with over 2500 pasta lovers attending, Emilia’s outdoor terrace and riverside bank will be transformed again into a summer street-food style festival filled with live music, various pasta-themed masterclasses, kid’s activities and pasta art exhibitions. Headlining the event again this year will be X-Factor Italy finalist Davide Shorty: a singer, songwriter, rapper and producer from Sicily. The live music line-up promises the best of soul, RnB and Swing, with the YouTube sensation Hetty and the Jazzato ItalianBritish band to accompany the aperitivo hour.
There will be a variety of masterclasses for adults and children: the classes will teach festival goers how to make 4 different pasta shapes (with both egg and non-egg doughs) and how to make the traditional basil pesto (with a pestle and mortar) – the proper Italian way! For those who are thirsty, Boutinot Wines will also be hosting Pasta & wine pairings and masterclasses throughout the day. Pre-booking is recommended as walk-in spaces are limited.
The Emilia’s team will also be preparing their signature dishes in the outside food stalls, accompanied by Spritz bars, to ensure all guests are duly fed and watered in true Italian style.
Entry to Summer Pasta Festival and to its activities is free. To find out more about the Masterclasses and book the tickets, visit www.eventbrite.co.uk and search for 'Emilia's Summer Pasta Festival'.
