Located in Mayfair and inspired by second generation restaurateur Umut Ӧzkanca’s Istanbul heritage, Rüya offers a taste of sophisticated dishes influenced by the various Anatolian peninsula regions which are steeped in a rich and colourful history stretching from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea. Describing their concept as being ‘bold, bright and beautiful’ diners at Rüya can experience a menu featuring an array of Anatolian classics with a contemporary and fresh twist. Rüya, meaning ‘dream’ in Turkish, is a hidden gem which fuses a vibrant restaurant, lounge and bar experience. Designed by Conran and Partners, the sleek interiors are comprised of a series of rooms featuring brass detailing and beautiful wood accentuating the natural elements of the space and plush seating areas.

All dishes are seasonal and Rüya endeavors to work closely with a small network of British farmers and suppliers to ensure their dishes use only the very freshest ingredients. Their herbs and spices are painstakingly sourced to guarantee the finest expression of Anatolian flavour.

With a relatively new Head Chef at the helm, Rüya’s menu includes the Lakerda, salted cured tuna with compressed cucumber, tarama & bottarga, Karpuz Peynir, watermelon, sheep cheese, tomato and pine nuts and Grilled Seabass & Zeytinyağli Pirasa Antep pistachio crust along with their inimitable selection of pide - the cheese pide is exceptional.

The Rüya experience would not be complete without music which plays a key role in creating a dynamic atmosphere and every Thursday evening sees the Mekan Bar hosting its weekly Nazar Nights series offering a limited edition of its eye-catching Nazar Sour cocktail accompanied by a live DJ set. The Mekan Bar offers some of London’s finest cocktails created by mixology expert, Franco Medici, and Rüya’s signature creations consist of a unique blend of spirits, wines and anise-scented Turkish delicacy, Raki. Drinks deliver unique notes from throughout the peninsular, including Mediterranean fruits and tea from the Black Sea to pomegranate and pistachio from the Southeast. A cocktail not to be missed is the Constantinople which is a mix of in-house blended truffle gin and parmesan.

Most recently, Rüya has announced its partnership with the Mozaik Foundation to raise funds for the Kahramanmaras Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund, with diners able to opt in to a £2 donation.
