Bermuda All the best things come in small packages and Bermuda is no exception. With miles of breathtaking coastline, more golf courses per square mile than any other nation in the world, and only 7 hours on a direct British Airways flight from London Gatwick – Bermuda offers a perfect blend of heritage and culture, city and beach all within just 21 miles. What to do? For a spot of culture, you can visit Town of St George, named after the legendary dragon slayer and patron saint of England. It was Bermuda’s capital for more than 200 years. Today, nearly four centuries later, evidence of its remarkable history abounds. While it is a popular centre of business and retail activity, it is the town’s history, visible in its picturesque cottages, quaint lanes and alleyways, and its wealth of military, civic and religious architecture that attracts visitors from all over the world. For shopping and sight-seeing, visit the capital of Bermuda - City of Hamilton, a picturesque harbour city graced with shops, museums, galleries and gardens, Hamilton is also the hub of international and local businesses. Hamilton, Pembroke and its nearby parishes offer so much more; intoxicating botanical gardens, historic churches, and an interactive aquarium and zoo. Discover Bermuda’s stunning pink beaches, including Bermuda’s illustrious Horseshoe Bay Beach, located in Southampton Parish. As its name suggests, the beach is shaped like a horseshoe and is approximately 4 miles long. The most southern beach in Bermuda, the Horseshoe Bay Beach is also the most celebrated public beach on the island. Guests can also enjoy numerous activities such as surfing, horseback riding or snorkelling in the crystal clear-blue waters. For those seeking a more peaceful sandy location, Bermuda offers a number of smaller coves such as Jobson’s Cove, located at Warwick Parish. For an off-the-beaten track experience, Bermuda’s Hidden Gems tour offers a sneak peek into some of Bermuda’s secret treasures and hidden beaches. This is perfect for a family day out or a romantic trip with a loved one. Where to stay? There are great benefits to staying in both Hamilton and the beach hotels. In Hamilton, you have the benefit of all the shops & restaurants and it is also the centre of all bus & ferry routes, so sightseeing from here is particularly easy. On the other hand, the majority of visitors to Bermuda want to take advantage of the spectacular pink-tinged beaches which the island is famous for. Purely Bermuda has put together a special two centre offer that combines the best of both worlds, using both world class Fairmont Hotel properties in Bermuda. First enjoy the famous Fairmont Hamilton Princess, which has been recently renovated with the addition of a spectacular harbour front swimming pool and a new marina restaurant and bar, named 1609. Then after a few days of enjoying the sights and sounds of Hamilton, you can spend the rest of your holiday relaxing at The Fairmont Southampton with its wonderful beach and unrivalled choice of restaurants and leisure facilities. When you stay at the Fairmont Hotels in Bermuda, you can travel between the two on their complimentary ferry shuttle and use the facilities in either hotel. For

A Wong Macanese Tasting Menu Between 17th to 29th November Londoners will be able to discover the

culinary delights of Macau with the introduction of a Macanese tasting menu at A. Wong in London Victoria. Having recently gained a Bib Gourmand in the 2014 Michelin guide, A. Wong is proud to be showcasing one of the world’s first fusion foods. Macanese cuisine reflects the unique history of this exciting gastronomic paradise, located just 40 miles from Hong Kong, blending Portuguese and Chinese flavours and drawing on influences from South America, Africa, India and Malaysia. Restaurant owner and Head Chef, Andrew Wong will be collaborating

with and working alongside guest chef Florita Alves, a specialist in Macanese cuisine from Macau, to create a beautifully crafted 8-course tasting menu. The selection of dishes will be inspired by the exploration and travel of the Portuguese who arrived in Macau in the 1500s, combining flavours and cooking techniques from their home country with spices and ingredients from their expansive trading routes. The dishes will be presented in tapas-style portions, in keeping with A. Wong’s

grazing menu and dining concept, while the preparation of ingredients, flavour combinations and cooking methods will remain entirely true to those employed
