Inglewood House
Prepare yourself to be spoilt in the beautiful bridal suite Designed to be the ultimate indulgence, from its super king-sized bed and luxurious down duvet and pillows to the grand en-suite bathroom with its magnificent roll top bath, the honeymoon suite at Inglewood House certainly has the wow-factor. And that’s before you even consider the grand, stone balcony overlooking the front lawn – the perfect spot for photographs during the wedding day or for a relaxed and private breakfast the following morning.
The rest of the venue, a stunning Jacobean mansion house that’s been transformed into a luxurious, boutique hotel and spa, is just as impressive. There is a selection of spaces, from the Grand Hall to the beautifully restored conservatory, for your ceremony – and the ballroom for a reception to remember. Set in Alloa, just ten minutes from historic Stirling and 40 minutes from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, Inglewood is a great central Scotland venue – handy if guests are coming from all over. inglewoodhouseandspa.co.uk

The first of its kind in Ayrshire, this beautiful bespoke building can host weddings from just 50 to an impressive 300 and has breathtaking river and countryside views. Alternatively, get creative with the newly extended Hall of Champions, which offers flexible layouts for up to 450 guests. You’ll find all the boxes are ticked here – a dedicated entrance, a reception area and an outside terrace for celebratory drinks in the sun.
For smaller weddings, The Boardroom overlooks the famous courses and the West Sands beach, whilst the library will see you saying your vows while steeped in history. For outdoor nuptials, take a look at the hotel’s West Deck… oldcoursehotel.co.uk
