Eric of YOUTH-LEADER is going to IYONS World Summit of Youth Organizations in India 24-26 July Would you like to get involved? IYONS is organized by Abdul Ghani, young business man turned social justic activist, know for his work with garbage pickers in Chennai, under the patronage of Dr. ABDUL KAMAL, former PRESIDENT OF INDIA and children's rights champion KAILASH SATYARTHI, Nobel Peace Prize laureate 2014 uniting young changemakers under age 35 from 120+ nations and all states of India to present their country's major challenges as well as model solutions for solving them for sharing, training and replication This is precisely what's needed. We will see to what degree this is achieved, but it is definitely the way to go, and I have been investing myself fully for two motnhs. In my role as IYONS Representative for Europe and North America, I have mobilzed my YOUTHLEADER network and assembled a world-class teenage hero/ine line-up, live onsite and via Skype. IYONS fully supports me to give the teens centre stage. They are to give 5 of 11 official workshops AND have granted me to turn their collective stands into a „mega stand“, the YOUTH-LEADER CAMP, at the main auditorium – well visible to everybody – with a huge poster exhibit of 48 hero/ines, and a rich side program of 30 workshops, film screenings, and more. OUR TEENAGE YOUTH-LEADERs are CENTRE-PIECE of the PROGRAM (view attachment) for a world-premiere, world-class program with the North American TEENS in the focus of attention for their new level of achievements as youth leaders, for youth-induced learning culture at 10,000 Canadian schools (We Day), and to train young changemakers from 120 nations to replicate their success models. IYONS covers all expenses in India, but cannot cover air travel. Or a teen + chaperone, air travel and visa amount to approx, $3,000, and due to circumstances, Emma and Julia have not (yet) been able to raise this considerable amount. WE CAN ARRANGE SKYPE INTERVIEWS for this, and WRITTEN PIECES also. 2) how you like the idea of me representing POSITIVE CHANGE MEDIA, through - setting up a mini-exhibit on a dozen world-leading POSITIVE CHANGE MEDIA initiatives … using your visuals and „about“ text or more - hosting a session for delegates to learn about our diversified approaches and models … me presenting, using your resources, maybe videos and incl you via Skype I like the idea of this POSITIVE CHANGE MEDIA mini-exhibit, aligned with YL Poster design. With visual, text and QR codes to your websites, and good videos, TED Talks or interviews on your work. I am thinking of Positive News (UK), New Story Summit, (Scotland), IVOH (USA), Noticias Positivas N+ Magazine (Argentina), Eco Walk The Talk (Singapore), as well as Balance Edutainment, Global Voices (USA), The Washington Post „What Works“ column, Huffington Post (starting positive columns, too), Take Part, Upworthy, Inhabitat, The Guardian... and Youth-LeadeR.
Let's act fast - as I will be leaving Germany on tuesday morning. We will have to put together your visual, text and links on MONDAY. I consider this very well feasible, since you have those in your standard materials. I will then print in Berlin early on tuesday morning, since I do NOT know how good the printing opportunities are at IYONS. If you need more time, do write me later, I will try my best.
