WHO IS ERIC? Eric is known as founder of YOUTH-LEADER (YL), a platform uniting dozens of the world's finest teen and adult changemakers for making their role models, stories, solutions and live services available to our global young generation at school in 18 languages. His benchmark: - wildly successful solution - replicable by youth - well documented online - accessible via skype Interweaving best practices at the intersection of positive change, media and education, Eric has designed a game changer for connecting humanity's leading changemaking knowledge into schools, youth taking these solutions to scale, with many benefits for learning culture, people, planet and the young people's personal paths.

Eric always dreamt of uniting the teenage Gandhis of today for amplifying each other's quests and wielding YL to the fullest. When asked to serve as IYONS European & North American representative, he knew the opportunity had come. IYONS in INDIA offers the perfect stage: a disruptive experience, low cost and access to a dynamically shifting subcontinent of one billion people eager for innovation. For full info on YL, view the Portfolio at www.youth-leader.org.

IYONS Dreamed up by Abdul Ghani, young businessman turned social justice activist, supported by mentors ● Nobel Peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi ● Former „The People's“ President Dr. Abdul Kalam

IYONS is a world-premiere 'outside the box' event, designed by young positive change enthusiasts open to learn and to include everything that makes sense. This gives us unique opportunity to co-shape the event with our finest contents and methods

We are using this to the fullest! First of all, meet the young people that we ask you to help us fly in.

North American Youth Leaders Impressed by the transformative power of these teenagers, the IYONS board has adapted their schedule to include all nominated North American Youth Leaders in the main program, with  speech to the global assembly  official workshops  side events in the Youth Leader Camp Adora Svitak – 'intellectual royalty' / 'smartest kid on the planet' Adora elegantly deconstructs the negative worldview held about youth and our future, and helps us re-define ourselves and our future by our own image and values - to be better adults than former generations.

„The idea is not to turn us into your kind of adults. But into better adults than you have been.“

Xiuhtezcatl Tonatiuh Martinez – Earth Guardians Xiuh is the voice of his generation – on climate cange, lifestyle and native identity. He has stopped fracking, pesticides, coal ash, sues the government, has chapters on six continents, stars in many films, his Kid Warrior portrait film goes viral, he opens UN summits, jams with spiritual leaders, rocks festivals with Earth Guardians Hip Hop...

Earth Guardians – Concert The genuine spirit of the Change Generation in powerful Hip Hop!

Chloe Maxmin – Divest Harvard / First Here Then Everywhere The driving mind of the world's most prominent divestment campaign, inspiring hundreds of colleges, companies and churches to divest hundreds of billions of dollars from fossil fuels and stigmatizing the industry.

Robyn Hamlyn – Water Warriors 'Blue Community Resolution' This 13 year old has made 27 Canadian cities pass a 3-pronged resolution banning bottled water, keeping it public, making it a human right.

Rhiannon Tomtishen – Project Orangs Girl Scouts Rhiannon and Madi forced the iconic organization to drop conflict palm oil from its famous cookies - holding GS responsible for rainforest destruction, species extinction, human abuses and climate change. GS adopted a policy, followed by ABC Bakers, Kellogg's, and Wilmar, carrier of half the world's palm oil, to establish the trade industry's leading transparency mechanism.

Rachel Parent – Kids Right To Know „Always act from a place of LOVE. If we put our hearts and minds together, we can change our entire nation.“

Canada's face for GMO labelling and proper scientific studies on longterm effects on the health of humans, animals and ecosystems. Her epic tv debate making tv bully Kevin O'Leary switch to pro-GMO labelling has 5+ mio views. She has confronted the Minister of Health with global studies of GMO ag impacts, birth defects through gly-phosate, spoken at Parliament as a guest of honor in support of a GMO-labelling bill.

Cassandra Lin – Turn Grease Into Fuel (T-G-I-F) Cassandra's group of 5th graders introduced recycling of used cooking oils to biofuel. Serving 150 restaurants, she has donated $150,000 of profit to social causes and changed policies. At IYONS, Cassandra now trains youth and adults to do the same!

Avalon Theisen – Conserve it Forward Known as Frog Fairy, citizen scientist, activist and educator on swamps as habitats and water reserves, indicator species, creating urban minihabitats and replacing vivisection with digital alternatives, Avalon is now a lead 'Cowspiracy Secret' Film Ambassador, showing how simple changes to our daily diet can reduce climate change by 50%!

Emma & Julia Mogus – Books With no Bounds

„Banish the words hopeless and impossible from your vocabulary. We CAN create a world of peace and abundance for all!“

Learning about devastating injustice to Aboriginal children (up to five years behind in reading and 30% suicide rate at schools), Emma and Julia started book drives to bring hope, vision, joy and learning. Two years later, they have served 49 communities with 77,000 good books, changed worldview among their generation, reached and involved 30 million people and built healing bridges across historic divides. At IYONS, Emma shows how each of us can replicate the badly needed program in 100 countries.

WHAT A LINE UP ! Help us bring them all into one event, into one space! 

as speakers

with several workshops each

The Youth-LeadeR Camp

These Hero/ines are usually the celebrity speaker of an event. They've never shared a stage. Until NOW!

European Youth Leaders Oliwia Borkowska – (POLAND) EU Citizen Campaign for making Ecocide a Crime Erosion of natural resources, ecosystem pollution and collapse naturally lead to loss of inner and outer peace, thus to violent conflict on personal, domestic, communal, national and international levels. Since the 1970's, the UNITED NATIONS envisioned making Ecocide the 5th Crime Against Peace at the International Criminal Court ICC, holding individuals personally accountable, like for genocide. The initiative is gaining momentum on all levels. Several countries have included ecocide in national law, the EU Citizens Initiative is gathering 1 million voices to put it on the EU table. Oliwia will present the simple, powerful legal framework.

Maja Horvat - Solayea (SLOVENIA) Maja is also a „make ecocide a crime“ campaigner, but also represents Solayea, an organization at the intersection of the feminine, holistic approach to life and reponsible leadership.

Laura Kaestele – Gaia University (GERMANY) Laura is a pioneer in inner, communal, global and natural permaculture, with leadership experience in 'Generation Wake Up' Trainings and 'Art of Hosting' large group co-creative collaboration methods.

More European nominations pending

International Youth-Leaders Babar Ali – The Youngest Headmaster in the World (INDIA) At age 9, Babar began teaching peers too poor to attend school what he had learned in the morning. His mission soon evolved into a full-fledged school with adult volunteers, serving 1,000 students in his parents' backyard, many of which completed a high school degree and went on to college. Some are now teachers at his newly built school.

Hassan Saeed – Open Doors Literacy Project (PAKISTAN)

„We are reclaiming our streets and public spaces to be safe and welcoming for girls and women again. This is our home. All of us have the right to feel safe.“

For 100 days, Hassan takes the bus to visit rural villages to teach groups of girls to read and write in the safety of their homes. Even gun threats did not stop him. In just 100 days, the girls' lives change dramatically: they are not married away, read the news, study and open small shops.

Bilsan Ahmad – YOUTH-LEADER Syria (SYRIA) Bilsan changes our worldview about Syria. With a full picture of the sides of conflict, functional parts of the country, vibrant life and thriving youth organizations, everyone fired up to get involved can do so!

Usha Vishwakarma – The Red Brigade Lucknow (INDIA) The famous women self-defense group against sexual assault. Living under open skies in the slums of Lucknow, these coura-geous young rape survivors patrol the streets, save and heal their peers, pressure police to hold rapists and murders accountable and train a generation of girls to protect their lives from sick men. Usha freshens us up with 'live screams, beats and smashes'. Rock'n'roll! You Go, Grrrlz!
