Basic Setup Switch the device by sliding the ‘Hold’ button downwards.

Hold Button on right hand side

Then select a folder to record your audio into. Use + and - to navigate and press OK to select.

You can see how much power is remaning on the device via the onscreen indicator.

Please do not throw the battery away if the power runs out. They are rechargable batteries and need to be returned. If you are low on power a standard AAA battery can also be used.

Recording Audio To start recording press

The device will record up to 26 hours 40 minutes The best place to record audio is a quet location such as an empty classroom. Noisy enviroments will make the recording difficult to hear due to background noise.

The microphones can be found at the top of the device. For a clear recording ensure that these microphones are pointed at the source of sound you are wanting to capture.

Playing Audio To listen to your recording use the [ ] and [ ] button to navigate then press [ ] to select the file.

To pause playback press

STOP

To resume press the

button again.

This will play the audio back using the inbuilt speaker. You can connect a pair of headphones to the headphone slot at the top. You can adjust the volume using the controls on the device.

Transfer Audio Slide the USB switch downwards to open the USB connector.

Insert into your computer via a USB port.

Once it has loaded you will be able to see the device on MY COMPUTER (PC) or FINDER (Mac)

Select the folder which you previously chose to place your recordings.

Then copy and paste the files into the secure location then disconnect the recording device.

Now you willl be able to play back the audio clips on your computer. You can also edit your audio using software such as Audacity.
