Jalan Besar Japanese Resto AI Associates Hospitality

Yudhi Teguh Singapore 2021

Located in the street of Jalan Besar, Singapore, we designed a new Traditional Japanese restaurant consisted in a multilevel building - 1st & 2nd floor. For a small restaurant with only a few seats and a sake bar, we designed a long sake bar by the entrance of the building, where guests are enabled to sit as people passing by on the street can see through the large opening of guests enjoying conversations with meals and drinks. It has become a part of the street’s landscape. The main material of the interior design is natural stone and teak wood, embedded with the other hard materials showcased into the main dining area. The unique part is the client has a large investment on metal piping around Singapore region which is showcased into different parts of the design element such as; ceiling feature and outbow lightings - beautifully set to emphasize the contemporary feel & touch.

Pejaten Barat House AGo Architects Residential Architecture

Yudhi Teguh Jakarta 2019

Pejaten Barat House is designed in a +4 hectares area in the heart of Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. This house will be occupied by a couple with one kid. The clients wanted a space that is surrounded by lush greeneries and water elements with the concept of nature to give more fresh air and zen areas in the middle of crowded Jakarta city. This house comprises 6 basic building masses with different functions to engage more views to the green open area, natural light, and cross-ventilated openings. There are the main house itself, outdoor bathroom, outdoor gym, guest pavilion, client’s personal office, and a security station. Part of the challenges is that the clients will be moving all of their antique furnitures and paintings where the house will be the canvas of the antique furnitures. The sustainable approach is the house will be under 50% using conventional electricity with the use of solar panel meaning that will be less carbon footprints. The main facade is blocked from the direct west sunlight and give it wider openings on the south, east, and north area. The interior pallette is using most of basic colors; white and black with the touch of antique furnitures and brass aluminium all over the details.

Routine Coffee & Eatery

AGo Architects Commercial Architecture

Alvin Baihaqi, Yudhi Teguh Jakarta 2019

Routine Coffee and Eatery is Routine’s second branch in South Jakarta. The challenge that was given from the client was they wanted a multi-function area in such a small space. To provide the demand, AGo Architects and the client agreed to make a space that could possibly change the function according to their needs. It can be transformed into a meeting room by simply arranging the table and loose seating furnitures. The floor level was raised to give the user a better street view. The wide window opening is meant to give a seamless connection between the outdoor and indoor area. The interior moods were following the Routine’s design guidelines which is showcasing T erracotta to give it a little warmer to the space. We also chose white painting and unfinished floor to balance the warm space. New kid on the block, Routine Coffee & Eatery.

TF House

para at. Residential Architecture

Yudhi Teguh, Masykur Ali Bekasi 2021

TF House is designed based on clients’ parents existing house to be separated for their own small family, consisting a couple and a kid. The programs contained is a result from discussions between the couple, questioning the things that they really need instead of what they want in such a small square meters. Thus resulting in a 96-square meter house that provides basic programs for the users with Living-Dining-Kitchen (LDK) replacing the old garage at the 1st floor, master bedroom, kid’s bedroom, and a service area at the 2nd floor, and a rooftop with a city view. The house is an unexpected and exciting spatial experience that survives the limit of space. The integration between furniture furniture modules and functions such as kitchen and living room storage creates a compact house experience leaving this house from clutters.

DA House

para at. Residential Architecture

Yudhi Teguh, Masykur Ali Bekasi 2020

This renovation project was initiated by the client as the existing house was already brittle especially on the second floor. The house will be given to the son of the owner’s family as his other family members will be moving out to the other houses, hence there are some changes on the space needs and requirements compared to the existed space. The client wanted the house to provide togetherness as he’s likely to be energized around people, so we took up the chance to provide relatively big living room with void up to the second floor, two guest bedrooms and communal area on the living area itself. This project is classified to be a budget one, so we decided to use some existing structure grids as it also simplifies how the space could be facilitated with enough connection one another. The client also wanted how tropical architecture and japanese-minimalist could combine together with harmony. The design solution was to create slopping roof with enough opening on the facade without any addition.

AN House

para at. Residential Architecture

Yudhi Teguh, Masykur Ali Bekasi 2021

AN House is a two-story house project located in the heart of Depok City. The challenge was to emphasize and manipulate the small square meter plot land to a bigger feel of space so we proposed an idea where placing a 2x2 inner court with void to lead the thermal air circulates easily upwards as creating the front facade to be massive to maintain the privacy of residents because the house is located in a relatively crowded area. In return, the openings and air circulating are focused facing the inner court in the heart of the house. Unlike many tropical houses in Indonesia, the clients wanted to have a Bali-looking interior style as they would feel the vacation ambience all along, showcasing terracotta and cast stone throughout the interior space. Guests who arrive will be welcomed by a connected functional areas one to another.
