ASSEMBLY UNDERSTANDING THE BIG PICTURE
CHECKOUT KIOSK Design a self-checkout system for a choice outlet by solving the ergonomic concerns of its users. Team Project Elaine H. Nguyen Emily Tang Godfrey Udensi Ricky Yue
Self-checkouts today have too many problems that actually can potential stop shoppers from using them, especially if they have never used one beforehand.
It’s too complicated to find items without barcodes.
Products are too light to weigh.
Services are much too far area from each other.
A need for larger bagging area.

MOLECULAR SCANNER Create a breakthrough in home-automation through purposeful planning and prototyping processes.
It is important for people to understand what’s around them especially at times of growing age. In this generation, we can rely on technology.
HOME AUTOMATION PERSONAL ASSISTANT
With rise of smarter technology, home automation is basically a smart hub for all your devices. It’s sort of like a universal remote but really it’s no better than your phone then.
THINK DIFFERENT IDEATION
Making more of home automation, I decided to incorporate image scanning technology for users to learn more about their lifestyle through their everyday interactions. MOLECULAR SCANNER

THE DESIGN SPACE AMPHITHEATRE
The nickname this space is given, suggest the amphitheatre is a ‘concrete jungle’ when it is not used during the hours of local cultural performances.
BILL’S BACKYARD OUTDOOR EXHIBITION
Bill’s Backyard: A Bridge to Nature is one of CDM’s most successful project. Bringing nature into their space really strength’s their connection to local parks and attractions around San Jose’s greatest scenes like the Guadalupe River.

X-ARM Exploring manufacturing processes in building and redesigning a robot used in a particular industry.
The function, the design and emotion feeling giving off by a robot all play a role in the production of one as they will have to fit into an existing space among workers of across many industries.
