Sub Jam is an experimental art organization. Mainly it publishes and creates events for music and sound. Also involve to poetry, visual art and other materials in hands. Founded by Yan Jun in 2000 as Sub Jam Records. It has continually trying to define itself and invent itself.

Project Abstract: The Void is a computer generative design system for the experimental music label—Sub jam. I was using processing to generate images based on the information of music itself like speed, loudness range, rhythm and instrument type. Add up the visual icons provided by the band, we can create thousands of different images within same rule. The images can be the “lyric” of experimental music and also can be applied to music related merchandise.

Abstract: In order to find the new territories for Forevermark.We researched about the recent consumer lifestyle trends and emerging values. Then we found women self-purchase was an increasing part of diamond market. It shows the growing strength of women. Meanwhile the strength of women is not as aggressive as men but a sort of soft, introverted power.

Brief: They did not want to change the logo but want to redesign all the visual identity images.

Concept:

In contemporary China, profit-driven societymake a lot of transformation of traditional folk house are all covered with traditional shell but serve for business. I want to try another way wihich is not destroy the traditional dwellings, to beautify the surrounding landscape, remove the inappropriate building. So that improve the appearance of traditional residence community. Provide the local residents a comfortable living environment.

Project Introduction:

The academic teamwork project of School Of Design,Jiangnan University. April, 2011.

Concept:

The task is to design a tiny dwelling which is mobile and easily disassembling in four square meters. Since the population is dense and the housing price keeps in the high level, tiny house will become an ecological new housing. And ecology will become a keyword. Thus, how to integrate human beings and nature and how to make human beings integrate into ecological environment better will be our common topic. Moreover, this task is not only an attempt to change our mode of life but also a discussion of human and nature’s way of mutual independence.


Material:

We need to find a kind of Eco-friendly material which is flexible, practical and degradative.Then, we found a kind of washing kraft paper,which is water-proof as well as hard to tear. However, this kind of material is beyond our budget and we have to use the general kraft paper as the material of the model instead of that expensive one.
