+DESIGN INTRODUCTION The purpose of this design is to create a natural, open and rich campus core -- "Vitality Hill" and "Knowledge Square Circle". The core of the campus -is the main body of the campus which grows out of the earth. It contains the most important activities of teachers and students in daily life with the pl and downs. It breaks through the traditional campus's regularity and dullness, and brings a vivid and unusual place experience. From this comes th Square", a space consisting of two atriums of different heights in the north and south teaching buildings and a wide, interconnected corridor. But, as a typical urban villages, the disadvantages of binary structure still exists and affects its transformation process, land use policy adjustment after the marketization of village land use must go channels, require farmers as property developers to pay compensation and fill the land price, the village land costs rise sharply, land is no way out, consequence is lead to the emergence of a large number of illegal use of land and illegal construction, thus forming a new urban villages, transport system disorders, dark long narrow public space, safety coefficient fell again and again. Therefore, we start from the root of the problem, the status quo investigation and social visit, to seek the solution to the problem.
1. Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China.
Lon
With the transition of Chinese cities from the era of increment to the era of inventory, the original urban community space and land resources cannot meet the actual needs of social life, and urban renewal has become the inevitable trend and new growth point of contemporary urban development. Therefore, starting from the familiar environment and taking the villages in the surrounding cities of universities as the background of the problem, Longdong Village is selected for fixed-point analysis. It has a population of more than 6,800, with a current building density of 50.17% and a current plot ratio of 17.4%. Longdong Village, as the scientific research and education section of Tianhe zoning plan, is closely connected with 11 vocational colleges and attracts students and graduates from surrounding colleges with large logistics distribution center in the northeast corner and food street plaza in the south end.

Ecology
1. We summarized the current situation in seven aspects through site research.
The problem summary
Lack of public space
Interpersonal alienation
Traffic chaos
High building density
The link between colleges and universities
Lack of university connection
Function monotonous
Lack of green plants
2. The cheap living conditions attract plenty of students and commuters, but it still exists various problems .
3. It is the lack of connection between colleges and communities generally.
Links between colleges and communities
The fracture
The target system
Improve the transportation system
Implant in public space
Focus on the needs of people
Promote links between universities
Enhance interaction around the community
4. According to the aforementioned problems, the direction of renovation is proposed.
Connection - Area level Improve the built environment
Open part of the university walls
Create a green communication corridor
Mark vanishing green nodes
Connection - Site level Streamline traffic
Open residential community
Connect public platforms
Implant multiple functions
5. Based on the scale of area and site, from large scope to small scope to put forward the specific ways of transformation.
Activate the surrounding environment
6. Eventually, three main transformation strategies are proposed. Free up ground floor space
Roofing greening
Build the roof communication corridor

+DESIGN STRATEGY Safety: For the village in the city itself, due to the "dirty and messy" environment and the complexity of the people who live there, the village in the city has a "dangerous" color. The bustling village in the city in the daytime will be dangerous at night. Safety has always been a heart disease in the village in the city. Transportation: Urban villages is not only there is a risk factor but, daunting and its traffic problems, labyrinthine movements, narrow roadway, machine-made shop vendors and depressing drab transportation system, are plagued by every one step into urban villages, restrict the social aspects of the crowd, and the necessary intercourse activities. Green building environment analysis
On both sides of the corridor, rain gutters, flower pools and rainwater filtration devices are set.
small rods avoid insufficient light in the lower space.
Indoor setting through the courtyard is a means to achieve the green building. As the temperature rises during the day, the heat from the atrium rises to drive the natural ventilation of the building. In rainy days, rainwater falls into the soft paving of the atrium, it alleviates the drainage disadvantages brought by the hard paving of the city and nourish the plants in the courtyard.

+DESIGN INTRODUCTION In view of the city village living space in the self-regulation, to maintain the stability of the balance of environmental quality and environmental capacity, we try to, from the perspective of the public and quasipublic space in urban villages, set out to improve the site and inhospitable but the underlying space, with commercial potential and environmental potential utilization rate is low but the top of the huge space, on the basis of the retrofit design of the micro for site group and youth group in the universities both practical value and vitality of the social public space.
