01 Tao Yuan Ju Senior Living Community Location: No.57 Ye Ming Zhu Road, Yichang, China Area: 16511 sqft Project Brief In the traditional Chinese idea, the elderly should live with their children. It can make them happy. However, everything has changed now. The transformation not only challenges the traditional Chinese idea but also challenges the Chinese elderly identity. This project examines how to improve the elderly connectivity to nature and their mental and physical health in an interior design environment. This project also explores what interior designers could do to help relieve their psychological pressure and stay active in mental, physical, and social ways. Tao Yuan Ju will be the home of the Chinese elderly. It will be designed with the concept of regrowth. The concept dedicates to help the Chinese elderly to adapt to a new environment and embrace their new identity.

The senior living community-Tao Yuan Ju will be the home of the Chinese elderly. The concept of regrowth is dedicated to help the Chinese elderly to adapt to a new environment and embrace their new identity. They will regrow in this energetic environment created by natural elements, textured materials, organic shapes, and bright lighting. Moreover, the space will use a warm tones, soft and comfortable materials, circular shapes, and traditional Chinese patterns, which let the elderly feel a sense of belonging and security.

Project Brief In a busy society, people are under increasing pressure. How to find a way of life to release stress becomes the top priority. Werklab is home to a community of those who are choosing to do life differently and doing life on their terms. It is a collective consisting of freelancers, entrepreneurs, and creatives. Werklab offers daily classes, from Meditation to Kundalini to Pilates. Werklab believes people live more efficiently by slowing down and taking care of themselves. Therefore, the design aims to create a coworking workspace where people can explore their lifestyle.

Nowadays, the pace of life is so fast that physical and mental stress is increasing. People need to explore a new lifestyle, experience unfamiliar things to learn about it. The process of exploration makes people feel joy and vibrant. The project will provide the natural materiality and tones to achieve a positive foundation, while the organic patterns and forms will represent the exploration of a vibrant lifestyle. The design will focus on the healthy lifestyle, helping people to make meaningful life changes.

The classroom offers Yoga and Zen class to help the user explore a different lifestyle and release pressure. The waved ceiling, green wall, and wooden finish create a comfortable environment to promote the user's mental health.

Self-checkout & online order pickup is an area that customers can selfcheckout and pick up the order they buy online. It not just to help people who have speech impairments, but also for convenience for others.

The daily office is a place for people who want to work in a public space for the long term. There are different types of the desk and seat for the user to choose and allow people to explore the most suitable way to work.

03 Tommy Adaptive Location: 201 W Broughton Street, Savannah, GA, U.S. Area: 5960 sqft Project Brief Tommy Adaptive is a collection for people with disabilities that Tommy Hilfiger launched in 2018. Tommy Adaptive retail store provides a convenient shopping environment for diverse people to choose and try the products they like, especially people with disabilities. It is designed with the concept of inclusiveness inspired by the essence of the brand. The design focuses on providing a comfortable and relaxed space for disabled people to choose the items to represent and empower themselves and making them feel they belong through the reflective material, curved lines and shapes, and custom casework.

The concept of inclusiveness dedicates to create a space for everyone to easily and comfortably select items to express themselves. This project will use curved shapes, reflection materials, and wave lines to embody the sense of inclusiveness.
