Cancellation policy According to National Compendium of AIESEC in Russia, Local Committee President on behalf of Local Committee is responsible for a number of registered delegates. If not all registered delegates are present at the conference, Local Committee is obliged to pay a cancellation fee for each absent delegate in the amount of: Cancellation 3 weeks before the conference Cancellation 2 weeks before the conference

ABOUT SAINT PETERSBURG*

Saint Petersburg was founded by the Tsar Peter the Great on May 27, 1703. From 1713 to 1728 and from 1732 to 1918, Saint Petersburg was the Imperial capital of Russia. It is Russia's second largest city after Moscow with almost 5 million inhabitants and the fourth most populated federal subject (after London, Moscow and Paris). Saint Petersburg is a major European cultural center, and also an important Russian port on the Baltic Sea. Saint Petersburg is often described as the most Westernized city of Russia, as well as its cultural capital. Saint Petersburg is also home to The Hermitage, one of the largest art museums in the world. WAY TO SAINT PETERSBURG There are several ways how you can get Saint Petersburg:

By plane

There are 3 terminals in Saint Petersburg airport: Pulkovo-1, Pulkovo-2, New terminal-1.*

The cheapest tickets for the following directions, 2-ways, January, 27 – February, 10**: Vladivostok-St.Pete-Vladivostok – 13110 rub; Krasnoyarsk-St.Pete-Krasnoyarsk – 13814 rub; Tomsk-St.Pete-Tomsk – 13110 rub***; Kemerovo-St.Pete-Kemerovo – 14737 rub***; Novosibirsk-St.Pete-Novosibirsk – 12344 rub; Omsk-St.Pete-Omsk – 12344 rub.

* Please, check the terminal before arrival! ** Prices are by January, 5, 2014. *** In some cases it may be much cheaper to fly to Moscow, then by train go to Saint Petersburg. Anyway, we advise you to book tickets in advance.

If you come directly from another country, please, consider visa regulations and requirements.

For detailed information approach your Project manager or Vice-President for incoming exchange programme of your hosting Local Committee. In this case in the airport you’ll receive a migration card - a small piece of paper. Please, keep it till the end of your stay in Russia.

Do not buy tickets for night flights. Public transport doesn’t work at 0:00-5:30 a.m. and taxi is quite expensive. In this case Conference Committee may not be able to meet you.

There are several ways how you can get Saint Petersburg: Even though there is a Central bus station, many non-Russian bus operators uses their own bus stops, close to either railway stations or major hotels. Pay attention to the place of arrival in advance to be met by Conference Committee.

All information about time, date and place of arrival has to be delivered to Conference Committee at least 1 week before arrival by Chief delegate, to ensure that delegation/delegate will be met. Do not buy tickets for night flights/trains/buses. Public transport doesn’t work at 0:00-5:30 a.m. and taxi is quite expensive. In this case Conference Committee may not be able to meet you.

LIVING IN SAINT PETERSBURG Before coming to Saint Petersburg consider minimum expenses you’ll have and average prices to ensure that you’ll be able to cover your stay in the city. According to the research made by Mercer Human Resource Consulting, St. Petersburg holds the 28th position in the list of the most expensive cities in the world.

Accommodation Accommodation before/after conference is not covered by Conference Committee and is not included in conference fee. We have several nice hostels which’ll give a discount for delegates. The price in rubles per night is:
