02 FOR LIVING CORALS [Individual Work] Topic: Ecological rehabilitation ite location: Bowen, Australia Area: 900ha Instructor: Lin wei Date: 10/2020 The inshore coral reef of Bowen City decreased rapidly from 1890 to 2019, caused by the polluted water carried by Urban drainage, agricultural, grazing and salt pan runoff. Different source of runoff carries different kinds of pollution. The purpose is to explore how to provide and repair the ecological environment needed for corals with the landscape intervention. This project came up with a water purification system The idea of this design is to let the nature recover itself, and the application of the strategy is based on the existing river to intervene in limited ways.

03 DOG ISLAND [Team Work]
Contribution: research,analysis, design,drawing
Topic: Reuse of urban gray space Site location: Shanghai, China Area: 0.14ha Instructor: Yichun Liang Date: 06/2019-01/2021 While the overpass carries traffic, it also creates a series of grey spaces under them. These spaces have the potential to become active public spaces for the city, but are often overlooked. This project transforms an otherwise boring under-bridge space into a vibrant safety island, a space for dogs to play in while the topography and planting design allows the site to deal with urban waterlogging problem.
