CITI FARM Interior Design GRADUATE PROJECT LOCATION: SHANGHAI, CHINA CHALLENGE: The CITI FARM is aimed to provide a new lifestyle for metropolitan persons to relax and contact with nature. So I need to maximize the farming area in the highly urbanized city.

Project Description: The project is located in Shanghai, China, which is a densely populated city. People who live here are lack of the opportunity for close contact with nature. The CITI FARM provides a brand new model platform for the urbanite to learn the skill of planting, harvest organic food by their effort, and study a healthy lifestyle. CITI FARM is designed to create a human interest, affinity and dynamic place for people to release pressure from city life and enjoy the happiness of labor in a natural environment.

Project Description: The project is divided into three parts, planting area, retail area, and top floor organic restaurant. The planting area is only open to the membership, but the grocery and the restaurant are open to the public. The fresh fruits and vegetables, snacks, and food are from the project's planting area and organic food certification providers.

Design Concept: The top floor restaurant a s a branch of C IT I FARM offers the green c uisine . Therefore , I wish to create a "tree house" atmosphere to shorten the distance between people and nat ure . Afte r ye ar s precipitate of bamboo, handmade rattan chair, and random pendant lamps create a cozy and vacation sense.

Shinjuku Grand Hotel Design GRADUATE PROJECT LOCATION: TOKYO, JAPAN CHALLENGE: As a five-star hotel project in downtown Tokyo, I hope to bring the feeling of Japanese luxury to every customer here through modern minimalist design.

Concept: The Shinjuku Grand Hotel is a group work, we use Japanese five elements as our project concept. I was assigned to complete the top floor presidential suite with the Wind element. The design combines the concept with Wabi-Sabi to bring about a sense of serene. I choose to use asperity, simplicity, modesty, and intimacy material and furnishings to convert a traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Concept: The unique window shade combined with sunlight in the bedroom to create a Japanese light and shadow beauty. Using outdoor style floor tiles and sofa components, guests can experience the atmosphere of the Jap ane s e te a ceremony garden even in the room.

Concept:
Le Jardin is a top French restaurant located on the 30th floor of the hotel. Curve-shape architectural detail of the ceiling to the side create an abstract tree shape. I wanted to create an atmosphere where people feel as if they are sitting under the trees, enjoying the wind of a summer’s night. Leather and velvet seats, chandelier lamps indicate French elegance. Blue color and wooden materials along with twinkling lights build a calm and luxurious atmosphere.

CNlive Office Interior Design UNDERGRADUATE PROJECT LOCATION: SHANGHAI, CHINA CHALLENGE: I hope to strenghthen the efficiency of office through design. I rearranged area function by designing an independent but communicative space.

Background: As a startup company in Internet news services, CNLive requires staff to keep abundant energy and enthusiasm in obtaining first-hand information.
Inspiration: I take S e e d germinati on a s the d e sign inspiration. It symbolizes vitality and first step of growing up company.
Three sets of desks and chairs form a stable and cohesive triangle, save working space as well as add flexible combination pattern.

Canceling all the partition in public area to acquire open and streamlined space.
Open space gives seeds plenty space to grow. Open space also approaches staff and benefits their working efficiency.
The studio combines virtual with reality, transforms traditional single broadc asting method into interactive ways.

LOFT Residential Interior Design UNDERGRADUATE PROJECT LOCATION: SHANGHAI, CHINA CHALLENGE: Based on a small apartment, I organized 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms for living. In the meantime, with enough storage space.

Design Description: Maximum the living benefit of the project by creating an apartment, including 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, in a samll apartment less than 70 m².

CITIC PLAZA Shopping Mall Design WORKING PROJECT LOCATION: CHANGSHA, CHINA CHALLENGE: Citic City Plaza has a mass scale building volume. So there is a concept is required to balance space and shopping experience.

CONDITION OF SITE: Mass scale building volume is consist of huge atrium and large glass doom. Shopping mall's atrium has more than 100m in diameter.
Fast-paced urban environment dulls people and makes people desire natural, poetic space and fresh, interactive experience. This design tries to create a interactional shopping area full of wonder and exploration.
