How are you?” Dorothy asked. “I am not well,” said the Scarecrow. “Can you get down?” Dorothy asked. “No. The pole is in the way,” said the Scarecrow. Dorothy climbed over the field’s fence. Tell me about your life,” said Dorothy. “I don’t know anything. The farmer made me the day before yesterday. I was lonely in the field. The crows ate my stuffing. They aren’t scared of me. I am not a good scarecrow. I need a brain to be a good scarecrow,” said the Scarecrow. “Well, the Wizard of Oz will give you a brain,” said Dorothy. “I do hope so,” the Scarecrow said.
