About the Design The Design Solution, ‘Brandzie’ is tries to redefine the ecommerce website with the skeleton of a social media. Here, the experience of shopping can be taken with wide range of options available to you. One of the best feature is to just tag the friend on the product itself. Another one is to create a opinion poll about our likings. Most often we like something, but we always wonder what people will think about it when I wear this or have it. After confirming with someone we trust, we always purchase thay thing in confidence. The experience of shopping with friends can also be achieved by actually chating or video chatting with them. Due to time constrain, it wasn’t possible to design all the screens, but the screens are designed to give fair idea about the concept and its implementation. Brandzie, thus has potential to provide a seamless and integrated social shopping experience for the user.

Task Requirements:
Important factors to be considered:
A design for the elevator (lift), which will make us reach each of 1000 floor of the building.
Reduce manual load.
How a user selects a floor. How the floors are displayed to people in the lift. Two variants of designs. Create design and a storyboard.
Information design & floor display. Optimizing elevator schedule. Order & Management. Entertainment or engaging the user while using the elevators.
Brain Storming the Problem
Fastest elevators ever used:
Being a 1000 storey building, very fast elevators will be used to cover that distance. Heres the case study of the one of the fastest lifts ever used in the world. This also enables us to think how much time will our elevator take to reach last floor from the ground floor. Considering current fastest, it will take around 7 mins 30 secs non stop from top to bottom. This time factor might play crucial role while designing the elevator panel.

Final Design
User Interface & working of each panel: News Screen It will project the current headlines, horoscope, thought of the day etc. It will engage people when have to spend more time in the elevator. The screen will contain new information everyday, thus making it new each day for the viewer. The screen also contains the date, day and time. Also, current temperature and climate is shown.
Final Design
User Interface & working of each panel: Elevator Performance Screen It will project the performance of the elevator. Where it currently is, and where is the destination. As it might take a while to reach a far floor, estimated time will give an idea to the user about his waiting time. With new technology and fast elevators, they reach an amazing speed. Thus it will show the users about its fascinating performance. At right side, the graphic of building shows exactly where we are. Graphically represents the coverd floors and upcoming floors.
Final Design
User Interface & working of each panel: Panel for user to use The tactile buttons used for entering the number. Can put the number and can confirm it by pressing green tick mark button. Or the user with RFID card can simply hold his card near the card slot, and thus can confirm it by pressing the green tick mark button. The person can even cancel by doing the same process of entering number or card and pressing red cross button. For the emergency situations, the user can press alarm or call the security room.
Final Design
Panel outside the elevator: To manage the flow of the crowd, a panel is installed outside the elevator door. The user can use his card for a specific floor. Otherwise manually he can call lift using up or down button.

Design Storyboard
Hi...my name is Ashok. I work in a office situated in a 1000 storey building. Such a marvelous structure. Lucky to work here.
Well all I need to do is hold my RFID card. There you go! Now all i need to do is get in the elevator.
Ohh....still 5 minutes remaining till the elevator reaches groud floor. I didn’t have breakfast. Let me grab a sandwich till lift comes.
Perfect. Done with breakfast without wasting the time.
Design Storyboard
I forgot to read the newspaper today. But this panel is cool. I get to know the headlines here. Keeps me updated! Wow.. lift has the speed of 35 mph. I am travelling so fast!
There comes my office floor. See you in the evening elevator!
Time to go home! Ohhh...i forgot card in my office! no problem, i will take it tomorrow. I can call the lift manually.
Ahh....ground floor! Done. Ohh well...the horoscope says I will have a good day. Indeed I did have a good day! See you tomorrow elevator!
Why according to me its an excellent design?

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Reduced manual load by using RFID technology. Also reduced cognitive load as RIFD will be flawless and the user doesn’t have to worry about where he will be reaching.
Simple display of information which can be universally understood.
Use of tactile buttons rather than screen interface. To make it more stronger and durable as well.
Better order and management with the panel outside the elevators. The user can slect their floor before getting into the lift. Thus no rush to select floor inside the elevator.
Engages users by giving various options. Headlines, horoscopes, thoughts etc. Also, gives the estimate time so that user has an idea exactly how much time he has to spare in the elevator and thus plan accordingly.
“An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.” - Mahatma Gandhi
