01 ART HOTEL RENOVATE
Site Analyse The hotel is located in the center of downtown Oakland, California. Which is close to many fancy RESTAURANT, ART GALLERYS and PUBLIC TRANSPORTATIONs. Visitors can take the BART to nearby tourist attractions, including downtown San Francisco. Sun Path From the siteview we can see that at were the hotel locate, there are several buildings close to each other. Fortunately, The hotel will have EIGHT STORIES, which is four stories above the adjacent building, so there will still be plenty of sun light on the southeast side of the hotel, including the hotel’s courtyard.

Project Background & User Scenatro This hotel will TARGET EXECUTIVE BUSINESS GUESTS and TOURIST who are visiting Oakland for extended periods of time. The hotel also provides guests with dedicated venue restaurants, bars, fitness center, ballrooms, conference rooms, etc.
Problems Need to be Settled The building is an old building in the heart of Oakland. As can be seen from the floor plan of the first floor, the red marked walls are all load-bearing walls that cannot be removed. These load-bearing walls prevent the hotel from having an open vestibule space and impose certain rest rictions on the layout of the space. At the same time, the hotel only has entrances and exits on the west side, so there is a need for better planning for escape and personnel safety. 7
Design Insparation
ART MARKET Oakland, California is as known as an Artist’s City. For many years, Oakland city officials also claim to be supportive of the arts. Oakland has more than 40 galleries open their doors, debuting artist shows. Therefore, I hope my hotel can provide a bridge between business travelers and local art. While providing room service, our incumbent offers a place to appreciate local art.

Project Background & User Scenatro Project: Pacific Northwest Multicultural Community Center(PNMCS) Location: 6015 North East Hollday St, Portland, OR Pacific Northwest Multicultural Community Center(PNMCS) is intended to welcome new refugee and provide them with a space of social service, education, job training and community connection as they journey toward self-sufficiency and adjust to life in a new city.
Site Analyse Site location: Portland, OR Address: 6015 NE Holladay St. Neighborhood: Rose CityPark/ Residential Public Transaction: 2 minute walk to bus station, 15 minutes drive to downtown Portland, 15 Minutes drive to airport Noise level: high
Problems Need to be Settled This is a two storage building, the area indicated by orange will provide 4 temporary family homes for eligible refugees. The are indicated by green is the public service area of community center and are responsible for receiving new refugees and providing them with counseling, education, food service, hold meetings and other services.

CONTRAST On the side of the Community Center, we are going to make some changes to the building structure. My design concept is to let customers experience ‘contrast’. The corridor will be the focus of the entire building, and the exterior walls of the building will all be made of tempered glass. This concept is not only suitable for new immigrants to contact and integrate into the local life, but also makes good use of the open scenery near the building. The interior walls are plainly contrasted with glass walls, and the new immigrants feel that Community Center’s main purpose is to provide you with a place to protect and secure. Exterior& Corridor: Open, Exposer, Happy ,Bright, Social Engagement& Transparent. Interior: Density, Crowded, Heavy, Tight, Compressed& Get together.

GREY WITH LUX DETAIL Transitional interior design gracefully walk the line between traditional and contemporary. I love classics-with-a-twist and spaces that strike a happy medium between traditional and contemporary. Different values of gray get an elegant upgrade in the residential bathroom. This is a bathroom that would wow gues. Brown mixed the neutral grey palette with pattern and warm gold accents.

BLUE SHELL This will be a Beachy style bathroom, whitch use various value of blue and white as the color tone. Beachy style has durable finishes, watery and sandy colors, and golden accessories will highlight this accessible style. Anchoring a bathroom to a sense of place like the beach makes sense. Most people prefer a calm, relaxing but uplifting vibe in a bathroom, and few things do that for people like a coastal getaway.

TROPICAL RAINFOREST Coast cafe & bakery is an American Food restaurant, which is located in the busy San Francisco business district. Their food is a delicacy and fresh also at an affordable price. In order to attract more visitors and customers, I chose the “Tropical Rainforest” as My material collecting concept, which is a gimmicky concept that can be a fun and unique experience for diners. I will use dark luxury hardwood with a large selection of green plants. Add some neutral tone and different value to my color pallet. In order to maintain the consistency of the restaurant design concept, the choice of furniture and tableware is not too exaggerated. I Will choose a traditional wooden stool and leather sofa, and decorated with light ornaments and tableware.

Model Building - -Ââ€? Develop two storage BYRD stuidio with De Stijil Style De Stijl means the style in Dutch. It was the name of a group of artists and architects who gathered around the largely theoretical architect Theo van Doesburg. De Stijl artists set out to create a universal style in painting, architecture, and design, using rectangles and squares in flat planes of bold primary colors and black, gray and white, all carefully orchestrated with straight lines.
