YWCA SHOP FOR GOOD

YWCA Shop for Good has become a place where volunteers and shoppers alike love to congregate. 100% of Shop profits support our domestic violence and women's advancement programming for women across northeastern Chicagoland, and women in our workforce training program (below, with YWCA trainers Kristin Drake, left, and Gloria Simpson, right) can find interview and work-appropriate attire at no cost.

YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE THROUGH YWCA SHOP FOR GOOD

This past summer marked the one-year anniversary of the YWCA Shop for Good, our resale shop in Wilmette. This innovative enterprise serves many purposes:

• raising funds for our domestic violence services and economic advancement programs;

• providing women with low cost, high quality clothing, particularly important for those newly entering or re-entering the workforce;

• extending awareness of YWCA’s work not only to customer and clothing donors, but by serving as a locale for special events related to YWCA’s mission; and

• engaging volunteers.

“I walked into the Shop for Good because something just pulled me in. Shop here and donate your clothes, too. It’s all for such a worthy cause!”
