Current Affairs Around the World The American Presidential Election America faces a new beginning at the moment through the election of former Vice President Joe Biden, officially dethroning President Donald Trump. Along with this, the first ever woman – and woman of colour, at that - Vice President has been elected, coming from a family of proud immigrants. The next four years will be of extreme interest to the rest of the world, and, of course, we’re sure there will be the usual dramas to come with it.
Decrease in Global Pollution From March, world-wide scientific organisations saw a dramatic drop in pollution levels as the world entered lockdown.
NASA recorded a 20year-low pollution level in India, of which the capital of New Delhi saw a 60% decrease in only the first week of lockdown. Though it can be viewed that this progress will be diminished next year once we resurface back to our old lives, organisations and governments have taken notice, and some don’t intend on letting go of this progress easily; encouraging us to not give up hope.
