e has been tagged as a ‘serial kisser’ thanks to his intimate scenes in almost every film he has been a part of but what does actor Emraan Hashmi’s (left) wife have to say about these? We asked him. “I don’t tell her about the scenes. I do tell her about the films I’m doing. She

doesn’t hear about it in detail. She is a film buff but she is not struck by glamour. She has her own life,” the 33year-old confided in us during his recent visit to the HT House. But doesn’t the lady of the house mind the intimate scenes? “She might have issues but she understands that it’s my professional requirement. She is non-interfering,” said the actor, who is elated his two-and-half-year old son

Ayaan is getting to know him through films. “He sees me on TV. He is still trying to understand things. He dances to my songs,” said Hashmi, who has managed to prove his acting prowess by not sticking to the Bhatt camp and doing films such as Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai and Shanghai to name a few. “After Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, people started waking up

and realised that ‘he is just not a Bhatt boy who does erotic thrillers. He can also play characters.’ They were a bit apprehensive of giving me a chance to do something else. Then someone stood up and said ‘he can do something else’,” said Hashmi. Does he agree that the industry was apprehensive of casting him. “Yes it was. It was also because I was only doing films with the Bhatts,” he said.

MY WIFE IS VERY NON-INTERFERING. SHE KNOWS THIS IS MY PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT BOLLYWOOD WAS APPREHENSIVE IN CASTING ME. THEY THOUGHT I ONLY MADE EROTIC THRILLERS GET CONNECTED Do you think actor Emraan Hashmi should tell his wife about his intimate scenes beforehand? Share your views with us at ww.facebook.com/htcity

Ghai lands in trouble once again B

ollywood film-maker Subhash Ghai (right) suffered another jolt Tuesday when the Punjab and Haryana High Court quashed the allotment of a plot given to him by the Haryana government for setting up a film and acting institute. Ghai was ordered to return the 20-acre land in Badhsa village of Jhajjar district to the village council. A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Jasbir Singh and Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain said that giving the village common land to Ghai was not serving any public purpose. The court told the village council to return the over R8 crore that it took from the film-maker’s company Mukta Arts in October 2010. The controversial land is

located about 50 km from Delhi. Ghai bought the land from the council after it passed a resolution to give him the village common land. The Haryana government, headed by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had permitted Ghai to purchase the land from the council. IANS
