PROJECT BRIEF
THE RED SEA PROJECT ISLAND 9-3, HOTEL 11 (MEP & STAFF ACCOMMODATION) DEWAN ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS DEC 2019 UMMAHAT AL SHAYKH ISLANDS, SAUDI ARABIA
The Red Sea Project is the world’s most ambitious luxury tourism development. The site encompasses more than 90 pristine islands, miles of sweeping desert and dramatic mountain landscapes. DEWAN ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS were given the opportunity to be a part of this colossal project, to design the MEP & Staff accommodation for “Island 9-3: Hotel 11”. The concept team was to provide different options for the arrangement of the functions in the program and prototypes for the lodgment, experimenting with various architectural styles, yet maintaining the overall harmony with the overall main design.

As part of the concept team, I had a main role in producing visual renders for some of the options and helping out in the final presentation for client submission. I’ve learned quite a lot about luxury resorts and services provided for islands.

PROJECT BRIEF
Fujairah Entertainment Center is an indoor adventure park combining various amusements like Bounce Park, Magic Planet, arcades and bowling. For this project, the team had to come up with different massing options that will encompass these functions while reflecting the playful activities in the drawings. I had a role, in cooperation with the senior architects, in developing the 3D exterior and interior model and creating diagrams and visual renders for the different options to be presented to the client. It was quite a pleasant project to work on and learn the different aspects involved in designing this playful environment.

PROJECT BRIEF
Amidst the city of Baghdad, in the district of Jadariyah, is a proposal to build a residential complex consisting of 3 mid-rise and 2 high-rise buildings. The team’s role was to deliver a striking and contemporary design and give the building a metropolitan vibe in both massing and elevational treatments. This was one of the first projects I worked on during my internship and it was where I began to familiarize myself and understand the process and organization of the way the team carries out their work. Where in university the end result was more important, despite how organized or messy your files are, in a company in order to get work done efficiently amongst the team and to give room for any changes, there had to be a certain system that the members follow. Visuals and renders were my main tasks for this project.

PROJECT BRIEF
Consisting of 6 plots, Port De La Mer is a collection of low-rise apartment buildings that can be reached by road and sea and are within 10-minutes from la mer and city walk. Residential amenities include swimming pools, gym, beach and marina access. Hotels, retail outlets and restaurants are all conveniently nestled along the waterfront that will infuse energy and vitality to life at Port De La Mer. A central podium, bustling piazzas and conveniently located bridges allow residents to move freely throughout inviting open spaces. Dewan Architects & Engineers has led this project through since the initial concept design stage all the way to its construction phase.

During my three months working in the design development department, I got a chance to work, develop and check on the working drawings of plot 4 and 6 for authority and client submissions using BIM technology. It was a new and challenging experience being introduced to BIM technology and its applications within the field and I’ve learned quite a lot working on this project.

LUXURY HOTEL YAC - YOUNG ARCHITECTS COMPETITIONS JAN - APR 2020 TURIN, ITALY
PROJECT BRIEF
The competition aimed to create a new generation of luxury houses-hotel to enhance the consolidated art hotel model. A retreat for artists, it featured music, painting, video-art and acting. It is a place where the most distinguished creative minds can meet to outline, improve and comment on contemporary artistic trends. Here artists will give to the world masterpieces able to defy time and arouse emotions and mystery thousands of generations later. A renovation in a place like this essentially means to restore it and breathe back life into it. To respect and cherish its history and memories, the design attempts to take some of the existing elements, along with the concept of perspective, and fashion them into the art cabins, apartments and gates scattered through the hillside. Through the hillside pathways, an art enthusiast hikes to sneak a peek on artists creating in their apartments. The hiker’s journey will unfold wonderfully as galleries and platforms of various displays are revealed throughout the climb. The outcome of the renovation design attempts to harmonize with nature, highlight often overlooked existing architectural elements and provide a feeling of peace and serenity that at its heart, hopes to encourage creativity and new, brilliant ideas.

GRADUATION PROJECT FILMIC ARCHITECTURE: AN EMOTIONAL CONNECTION YEAR 5 FALL 2018- SPRING 2019 DUBAI DESIGN DISTRICT, DUBAI, UAE
PROJECT BRIEF
When we watch movies, we are immersed deeply in it and our emotions are engaged with the narrative. Likewise, architects seek to evoke emotional response through their design. When architecture connects emotionally with the users, the message and meaning it wants to give is felt on a deeper level so it leaves an everlasting impression. For the following project, the relationship between film and architecture and their connection with emotions is studied. Architectural strategies are developed according to film and narrative techniques used in film-making to evoke different emotions in a learning environment.

The “New Media Arts Complex� is a place where students learn and create art using the latest technology and mediums, with architecture as a driving tool for stimulating their emotions to release and enhance this creativity.

URBAN DESIGN COURSE YEAR 4 SPRING 2018 GROUP WORK (3 MEMBERS) BUSINESS BAY, DUBAI, UAE
PROJECT BRIEF
One of the most well known commercial hubs in Dubai, Business Bay plays a significant role in making the UAE a major business and trading destination. This urban design proposal aims at addressing the issues within the site area that include lack of open spaces and recreational amenities, proper parking facilities, environmental constraints, traffic and walkability concerns using the following urban design principles: Connectivity, Sociability, Sustainability, and Community to achieve diversity and productivity.

AJMAN PUBLIC LIBRARY

DESIGN IV COURSE YEAR 3 FALL 2016 AL JURF 2, AJMAN, UAE
PROJECT BRIEF
Located next to Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Al Jurf area, near Ajman University and within proximity of the sea, the pure square shaped site (115 m x 115 m) presents an opportunity for view emphasis for the project.

Following the two existing roads surrounding the site to determine accessibility, the building was designed to be orientated towards the north and angled for a wider facade to increase viewing opportunities. A void was cut through the mass and the reading space mass was inserted perpendicularly to highlight the key function. Below the mass is a sinking plaza, a shaded open space with a shallow pool that serves to cool the prevailing winds coming from the north west direction. Openings and skylights have been placed accordingly in response to the environmental conditions within the site. Ajman Public Library is a library that serves the surrounding residential area and the city of Ajman as well. It has facilities for adult readers as well as children and students and contains spaces for public lectures, in the form of an auditorium, and many other facilities.
