INTRODUCTION

This is a visual guide and manual for a sustainable apparel brand, Mido. The aim is to make a platform that can house sustainable products which is accessible to the everyday consumer. But we do not operate via conventional online transactions. There are two modes of consumption; crowdfunding and rental. We are reworking sustainable e-commerce.

A South Korean crowdfunding and online fashion brand housing many other indie fashion and lifestyle brands based in their country, giving a platform for local brands and businesses. Hago, stands for ‘Have a Good One’, a playful and welcoming name, playing on the Korean preposition, ‘with’ or ‘and’ indicating a collaborative nature.

HIRESTREET

Hirestreet is an online portal for fashion rental. They bring high street fashion into the rental market.

GUSTIN

Gustin, provide artisan quality, classic American garments at true wholesale prices using crowdsourcing to line up supply and demand for every product they make and sell. This creates a zero waste cycle which they return to their customers through substantial savings compared to the retail price if it were produced in the traditional method.

Similar to Hirestreet expect for designer fashion labels. Some call it fashion freedom. We call it a fashion revolution.

The name Mido is derived from the wordJapanese ‘Midori’ , meaning green . Our aim is to be 100% green and sustainable, giving our customers the confidence to withoutpurchase it harming the environment in negative Interestingly,ways.in Korean, ‘Mido’ also means,

‘believe’ or ‘to place trust in something or someone’. Our customers can trust our company to take careof the important things so they don’t have to, leaving them to enjoy the quality craftsmanshipandof their purchases while we work to deliver in the most sustainable, ethical, cleanest way possible.
