The project is situated in the Safiya Area of Ajman, U.A.E., aiming to establish an expansive area that integrates a minimalist and contemporary design. It will feature a combination of shops, restaurants, cafés, as well as leisure and entertainment spaces. Positioned along Al-Itihad Street, the project forms a cohesive neighborhood along key routes connecting Ajman with other cities in the U.A.E.
The dining establishments and cafes are strategically placed near the primary entrance, providing easy access for visitors. The retail shops are positioned at the center, creating a focal point of activity. Meanwhile, the main building and event area are situated towards the end, featuring auxiliary entrances on the sides. This thoughtful arrangement aims to craft a distinct destination for visitors, offering flexible access points for their convenience.
The concept revolves around establishing a flexible, inspired neighborhood where users can freely engage with the surroundings and the small alley connecting to focal points. This approach creates the illusion of a curated collection of contemporary street art murals, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal and providing an interactive and dynamic experience for users.
The project is situated in Ajman, U.A.E., showcasing a villa meticulously designed with a simple minimalist aesthetic. This residence comprises 4 bedrooms, including a master bedroom, a spacious living and dining area, an outdoor majlis or gym, a kitchen, a laundry room, a maid’s room, a shaded seating area, and a pool. The goal is to establish an open space characterized by a seamless blend of minimalist and contemporary design elements to provide residents not just a home, but a curated living experience where style and practicality converge seamlessly.
Ajman Pitstop
A roadside food park invites visitors to indulge in al fresco dining experiences, featuring an eclectic array of food options housed within diverse food trucks. This culinary haven is strategically positioned in the vibrant Al Himidiya area of Ajman, U.A.E. The project’s overarching goal is to curate a spacious open environment that seamlessly incorporates a unique Pitstop theme design.
The Pitstop theme is meticulously crafted to offer a distinctive atmosphere, combining visual appeal with practicality. The space is thoughtfully designed to accommodate a range of shops, each offering a variety of goods and services. Additionally, a diverse selection of restaurants and cafés caters to various culinary preferences, creating a dynamic and engaging environment for visitors.
Beyond its gastronomic offerings, the project aims to be a hub for leisure and entertainment. Whether enjoying a meal, exploring the vibrant shops, or simply relishing the ambiance, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a multifaceted experience. This comprehensive approach ensures that the food park transcends conventional dining spaces, providing a thematic and memorable destination for all.

Experience Assimilation Park
Gradution Project- Focusing on Intergenerational Community. Baghdad, Iraq.
Assimilation of Experience and Necessity of Assimilation.
The concept proposes a community park in Iraq, serving as a hub for intergenerational exchange and experience assimilation. Acknowledging the challenges posed by the internet-driven openness of new generations, the design emphasizes the need for practical life experience obtained from elders rather than virtual exposure.
Design Concept
The design concept revolves around three key aspects. Firstly, it addresses the spatial requirements of different facilities and spaces. Secondly, it integrates circulation intersecting with the center of the facility, considering the urban context. Thirdly, it focuses on designing open spaces to promote comfort and socialization. The spatial design incorporates semi-autonomous modules, fostering adaptability within the context.
The concept methodology, illustrated through diagrams, shifts from traditional typologies to separated volumes, creating an intimate center with a public square. It emphasizes engaging spaces, flow stream, and context, aiming to establish a dynamic social and green heart for the local community. The low-rise pavilion-style buildings minimize visual impact on surrounding residents, fostering a strong sense of place.
Beyond Just Programs
The concept extends beyond physical design, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational connections. It recognizes the significant benefits of such connections and calls for a larger commitment to integrate intergenerational interactions into daily life and social fabric. The design concept methodology serves as a tool to make the project more understandable to the public and feasible for implementation, contributing to a holistic and sustainable community development approach.
Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 (SDME 2018)
The Solar Decathlon serves as a global competition aimed at fostering students’ comprehension of the significance of sustainable housing. This understanding propels them to integrate sustainable concepts not only into their lifestyle but also into their workplace environments. The competition presents a challenge to college student teams: construct a zero-carbon dioxide-emitting house that relies entirely on solar power. The envisioned house must exhibit innovation, boast a contemporary design, and contribute to an increased demand for sustainable homes.
This competition has achieved notable success, impacting 14 college teams. These teams dedicatedly researched and devised efficient methods to enhance and implement clean energy solutions in their sustainable houses. The evaluation process relies on ten criteria, offering an objective assessment of each team’s outcomes. Notably, these criteria have been tailored to align with the Gulf area climate, considering the necessity for houses to withstand changes in weather, particularly high heat, humidity, and dust. The criteria encompass Architecture, Engineering, and Construction, Energy Management and Efficiency, Comfort Conditions, House Functioning, Sustainability, and Innovation.
Aqua Green, Ajman University’s official team, actively participates in the Solar Decathlon Middle East. Our team’s design prioritizes the integration of energy-efficient technology, ensuring functionality across various climates.
Design
Our team’s design places a strong emphasis on supporting energy-efficient technology while ensuring functionality across various climates. To facilitate the transportation process to the exhibit in Dubai, non-traditional construction materials are utilized, avoiding the use of traditional concrete blocks or reinforced concrete roofs.
Anticipated to emit zero carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, the house achieves this through the incorporation of energy-efficient technologies and the implementation of a cooling and heating system designed to release no carbon dioxide emissions. The house’s design is specifically oriented towards reducing reliance on the cooling and heating system.
For a period of two weeks, the house will be open to the public, subjecting it to rigorous testing in all ten contests. This period will also serve to evaluate the house’s durability in response to climate variations and the efficiency of its implemented sustainable functions.
