SALATHÉ TREK GTX RR

Ideal for hiking, mountain approach trails and vie ferrate, these shoes are the result of the combination between Zamberlan’s experience and the Swedish RECCO system. The result is a technically advanced footwear that proves to be a responsive and faithful companion in different grounds and conditions. Thanks to the RECCO reflector, rescue organizations equipped with the appropriate detector can immediately track you down if you get lost or face an emergency situation. Weighing just 480 grams, it is versatile yet precise and provides stable support. But there is more: the enveloping fit with lacing up to the toe make it ideal for technical use; the new X-Active Fit® shape enhance comfort, while the Megagrip® compound of the Vibram® Pepe outsole, combined with the double density EVA midsole, offers excellent cushioning and maximum grip.

It is the new technical model created at the specific request of a group of Mountain Guides. El Cap RR is Zamberlan’s answer to the specific needs of climbing or via ferrata (fixed-rope climbing route): it offers excellent precision - and in general – thanks to the tapered shape of the toe, it’s snug at the heel and provides support during impact with the ground. Zamberlan’s Vibram® Ferrata outsole in Megagrip compound, with climbing zone at the toe, offers great sensitivity and secure grip. It’s also equipped with triangular lugs for better directional and braking traction, and features self-cleaning grooves. The upper cut is designed to protect the ankle from rubbing on rock, while the mesh lining facilitates the breathability of the foot. El Cap RR is a lightweight and breathable technical shoe designed for very technical vie ferrate as well as trad climbing, increasing performance and satisfaction.

The Nose RR is a lightweight and flexible shoe for those who love challenges: it is perfect for crag, mountain approach trails and trekking. The design offers maximum comfort and versatility on all types of ground, making it suitable for everyday use. Equipped with a Vibram® Password outsole with Megagrip compound and climbing zone, it offers tactile sensitivity, while the outsole design with self-adjusting lugs facilitates traction and adaptability. Self-cleaning grooves make it easier and quicker to remove debris. The new X-Active Fit® shape provides long-lasting comfort and excellent performance while the Eva midsole reduces weight and improves cushioning. The Hydrobloc® Suede upper is mesh lining to ensure breathability, particularly in the summer months, while remaining water-repellent.

Leather can be easily recycled, giving rise to new products, and at the end of its life cycle, it becomes biodegradable.

Our suppliers comply to strict environmental policies and their process and product certifications are an unequivocal guarantee of their commitment and responsibility to the environment, animal welfare, and supply chain.

Most of our leather is sourced from tanneries that meet LWG’s strict criteria for actively reducing waste and limiting water and energy waste. We are committed to increasing the use of this type of leather to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible.

Highly technological materials offer an immediate response from ground impact to upthrust, thereby reducing strain and fatigue on the foot.Anatomic Absorbing system: it contains and stabilizes the foot, especially when going downhill, providing an optimum fit and shock absorption on impact with the ground. The synthetic fabric top is absorbent with a fast drying wicking antibacterial action: it absorbs moisture to keep the feet dry for maximum performance.

Heel it holds and wraps the foot, supporting and balancing it whilst walking. For best results and performance replace regularly (ideally every six months).

NORWEGIAN WELTED TECHNOLOGY

The Norwegian method is a special demonstration of shoemaking virtue because it requires skilled people knowledge and experience. This special technique features two lines of stitching: the first fixes the upper to the insole (which is specifically designed for this use), the second fixes the upper to the midsole which will later be glued to the sole. The products of this range are both strong and flexible, making them sturdy and comfortable. Boots with a Norwegian welt construction are highly durable and can also be re-soled.

The leathers are precious, selected and worked with care to adapt to the foot, protect it in a natural way and almost become a second skin. It takes skills, manual ability, time and experience. This is what we breathe at Zamberlan®, at the foot of the Piccole

We use terracare® leather because it is produced with minimal resource consumption, ensures a transparent origin of raw materials (coming exclusively from Germany and Europe), and guarantees an optimal recycling rate of by-products. This is currently considered the most environmentally friendly leather production method.

More specifically, terracare® leather:

• generates more than 30% less CO2e during its production than the industry’s average

• uses 97% of the by-products generated during the production process (e.g. to recycle them or reuse them as biogas, compost, small leather parts, or gelatin)

• uses more than 40% less water in its production than the industry’s standard. In addition, every litre is purified with state-of-the-art technology and returned to the natural water cycle

• uses only and exclusively ancillary materials certified according to REACH (REACH – Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) for its production.

ZAMBERLAN® FIT

GAIT CYCLE

The foot plays an important role in supporting the weight of the entire body and in locomotion. The bones of the foot are arched longitudinally to help facilitate the support function. The transverse arch helps with movements of the foot. These movements help keep the sole (plantar surface) in contact with the ground despite the unevenness of the ground surface. They also work in concert with the ankle joint to help propel the foot off the ground during the toe off portion of gait.

The engineering of the lasts and the Zamberlan® footwear construction take into account all the anatomical aspects of the foot: an investment for your feet. This is why Zamberlan® engineered and created different lasts, based on the anatomical features of the foot and on different final uses. They are all comfortable, not too long and have a good volume.
