La Nostra Storia
Zandonà inizia la sua storia nel 1985, basata in uno dei distretti industriali tra i più importanti al mondo, impegnandosi nella ricerca e sviluppo di soluzioni per il settore plastico-tecnologico. Nel 1997 inizia lo studio e la realizzazione dei primi Dispositivi di Protezione Individuale (DPI) che verranno ultimati e commercializzati nel mondo dal 2001. Dal 2005 Zandonà è garanzia di competenza e professionalità nella realizzazione di DPI per uso equitazione, esclusivamente progettati, certificati e prodotti in Italia. L’esperienza acquisita nel tempo consente all’azienda di offrire al mercato prodotti innovativi, di qualità elevata e contraddistinti da un design funzionale. La collaborazione con cavalieri professionisti, designer, modellisti e tecnici esterni è per Zandonà stimolo di innovazione e continuo aggiornamento tecnico. La condivisione di queste esperienze contribuisce ad arricchire ulteriormente il proprio laboratorio di Ricerca e Sviluppo, rendendo i prodotti Zandonà sempre più eccellenti per qualità, performance, stile e comfort.

Our History
Zandonà begins its history in 1985, based in one of the most important industrial districts in the world, committing itself in the Research and Development of solutions for plastics-technology. In 1997 began the study and the implementation of the first Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) that were completed and marketed worldwide since 2001. Since 2005 Zandonà is a guarantee of competence and professionalism in the implementation of PPE for Equestrian use, exclusively designed, certified and produced in Italy. The experience gained over time allows the company to offer innovative products, high in quality and covered by a functional design. Cooperation with professional horsemen, external designers, modellers and technicians is stimulus for Zandonà for innovation and for a continuous technical updating. The sharing of these experiences contributes to further enriching their Research & Development laboratory, making the Zandonà products always more and more excellent in quality, performance, style and comfort.

Introduction
“CARBON AIR BALANCE” products are equipped with a magnetic device that improves cellular function, increasing horses performance and dynamic balance. The permanent magnet used is composed of a highly magnetic alloy of Neodymium, Iron and Boron with Nickel coating, capable of exerting a magnetic flux density of 2600 Gauss. It was found in various tests with the help of veterinarians and professional riders, that the use of this device placed near the muscle-tendon apparatus greatly decreases the limbs fatigue due to an increase in vascular blood-flow and lymphatic-circulation, with multiple beneficial effects. The unique shape of THERMOBOOT has been developed to ensure stability and comfort during use, favouring the optimal contact with Tendons and Joints. The strong closure-system ensures perfect adherence to the leg and the “easy-pull” flap helps and speeds up the safe removal of the boot. Regular use of THERMOBOOT for short periods (20-30mins) after intense exercise can help preventing small injuries and/or traumas to ligaments, tendons and joints as well as reducing localised swelling, heat and pain. THERMOBOOT can be worn on both front and hind legs. Contains two special Gel-Packs (one for each boot). COLD THERAPY Cold therapy can be used as an everyday treatment for your horse. During intense exercise, micro trauma to capillaries, tendons and ligaments can occur. The subsequent hyperaemia can persist with a pro-inflammatory effect. Cold therapy causes vasoconstriction, reduces proteolytic enzymatic activity, decreases influx of inflammatory mediators and toxins and provides pain relief to restore the post workout circulatory conditions. The sooner temperature of tendons can be reduced after exercise, the better. THERMOBOOT can also help treating horses’ haematomas, sprains, injuries, strains, ligaments and tendon damages. In case of severe injuries where hyperextension of the fetlock has occurred, ice therapy is required and you can use THERMOBOOT in 20-30min sessions 4 or more times a day. The initial stages of injuries are critical so the sooner they can be applied, the better. In such severe cases, the continued use of cold therapy together with a controlled exercise programme is essential to recovery and speeds up the rehabilitation process. HEAT THERAPY Heat therapy is ideal for supporting blood flow to a specific body area, eliminating residual inflammation, fostering nutrient flow and, therefore, healing. Heat can also be useful before exercise and for horses suffering from arthritis. Application of heat can increase soft tissue elasticity, flexibility, and suppleness of muscles during exercise. Heat also acts as a temporary analgesic, reducing pain. Heat should be gradually introduced to your horse’s recovery regime, after injury. Too much heat too soon can cause haemorrhage. In case of swelling issues, please only apply heat 24 hours after no increase in swelling has been observed. Alternation between heat and cold therapies, gradually increasing the time heat is used and decreasing cold therapy usage per session, will allow the transition to heat therapy-only usage. IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is important to take a progressive approach to introduce your horse to cold/heat therapy for the full benefit of the treatment.

THERMOBOOT può anche aiutare a trattare ematomi, slogature, infortuni, strappi e danni a tendini ed articolazioni. In caso di lesioni gravi dove è richiesto l’utilizzo di una terapia con il ghiaccio è possibile utilizzare THERMOBOOT per sessioni da 20-30 minuti per 4 o più volte al giorno. Le fasi iniziali delle lesioni sono fondamentali: prima viene applicato, meglio è. In questi casi gravi, l’uso continuo della terapia del freddo assieme ad un programma di esercizi controllato è essenziale per il recupero e per accelerare il processo di riabilitazione. TERAPIA DEL CALORE La terapia del calore è ideale per promuovere l’afflusso di sangue su una specifica area del corpo, eliminando infiammazioni residue, promuovendo l’afflusso di nutrienti e, di conseguenza, la guarigione. Il calore può essere anche utile prima dell’esercizio e per quei cavalli che soffrono di artrite. L’applicazione del calore può aumentare l’elasticità dei tessuti molli, la flessibilità e la mobilità muscolare durante l’esercizio. Il calore funge anche da analgesico temporaneo, riducendo il dolore. Il calore va introdotto gradualmente nel regime di recupero post-infortunio del proprio cavallo per evitare che troppo calore, troppo presto, causi emorragia. In caso di episodi di gonfiore, applicare il calore solamente dopo che non si è verificato un aumento del gonfiore per almeno 24 ore. Alternare la terapia del calore a quella del freddo, incrementando gradualmente il tempo di utilizzo del calore e diminuendo quello del freddo ad ogni sessione, permetterà di arrivare ad usare solo la terapia del calore al meglio. AVVISO IMPORTANTE: È importante adottare un approccio progressivo per abituare il proprio cavallo alla terapia freddo/caldo per ottenere i pieni benefici del trattamento.

These bruises tend to form in the delicate girth area of the horse, which is often scraped by the legs of the rider and by the spurs. SUPERIOR CHAFE GUARD EVO is an elastic bandage developed to protect horses’ skin against abrasions and it prevents the sensitive area subjected to rubbing from being further stressed and weakened. Made with a HIGH QUALITY ELASTIC FABRIC with HIGH BREATHABLE CAPACITY, including SPECIAL VENTILATION LINES, it allows the horse skin to breathe so that the area subject to “sore spots” can regenerate and heal in optimal conditions. In correspondence to the rider’s foot, a REINFORCED FABRIC has also been placed to increase durability and reduce wear from use.
