After a check of my license and registration, I was allowed to go on my way. My next brush with the law was about 5 miles inside Arkansas. I was pulled over this time because I used the right lane to pass an 18-wheeler going very slow in the left lane. I asked the officer what I was supposed to do and he really did-

Challenge Accepted I’m not sure how it happened, but I ended up in an eating contest. Toby Myers (aka: Papa Smurf) didn’t think I could eat a triple burger, a large order of tater tots and a large milkshake from Billy Bob’s Dairy Land. $100.00 was on the line so I took the bet. I knew I had an advantage since Toby had never seen me eat before. Almost everyone that was aware of the bet didn’t think I could do it except for Pete Pitchford from the Oklahoma Z Car Club. He’d seen me eat in the past and was certain this would not be a problem. It was to take place around 3:00pm, but Toby moved the time a couple of hours earlier. Figuring that the start time was 3:00pm, I had a late breakfast/early lunch around 11:00am. For a second, I thought it might be a problem and I could lose this challenge. Turns out, I had no problem with the burger, tots and shake. I even added two glasses of water. One thing is for sure, I will never take a bet like this again.

SU’S RETURN OLD OR NEW SCHOOL, THE CHOICE IS YOURS
SU ‘roundtop’ carbs were first developed for Nissan in the 1960’s by SU Carrburetter Ltd. Due to stricter emission standards, the roundtops were replaced in 1973 by more emissions friendly Hitachi flat top carbs which in turn were replaced by fuel injection. SU Carburetter Ltd. decided to produce a limited supply of the origional ‘roundtops’. These are the exact same carbs from the 1970’s but with upgraded hoses and gaskets to be able to tolorate ethanol. SU Carburetter Ltd. also developed a more advanced set of SU’s for your Z car. The 2019 edition (ABF973) can be installed in about 2 hours and includes an integrated enrichment valve for easier cold starts, a dual pass through fuel feed system that helps balance fuel levels between carbs, an integrated float system that resists vapor lock and a dyno tested needle configuration that allows you to drive easily around town without sacrificing performance. Both versions are new in the box and require no core charges or exchanges. HIF44 velocity stacks for the 2019 Roundtop are a traditional race track option that looks great on the street. A mounting system has been developed to handle deep K&N filters. HIF44 - $100 a pair plus shipping
Classic Roundtops - $975 plus shipping
ABF973 - $1175 plus shipping

KEEP IT COOL WITH 280Z AND 280ZX CUSTOM HOOD VENTS These fiberglass cowl--style hood vents are direct replacements for the factory hood vents in the 1977 and 1978 280Z as well as the 1979 to 1981 280ZX. Vents can also be used on earlier 240Z and 260Z models to improve engine bay cooling at idle or in traffic, prevent vapor lock, and reduce thermal stress on wiring harness connectors and other engine components.
We also carry a wide variety of fiberglass rebody kits along with widebody fenders, flares, hoods, airdams and various body parts for the 240z 260z 280z and 280zx.
