The Al Hilal Bank logo consists of two main elements: the wordmark and the icon. As we’ve already described, the icon demonstrates the strong relationship between the Bank and our customers, which combines with a fresh and modern style of typography.
The logo should always appear clear and precise, so avoid using backgrounds with too much detail or any colours that weaken its appearance and/or contrast with the logo. As we have already mentioned the circle of our icon represents Al Hilal Bank and our all embracing approach to our customers. Here the square is our customers and the circle is Al Hilal. That’s why the icon was designed to be a perfect square in the very centre, balanced and protected by an outer circle.

A few variations of patterns have been created to help with the visual language of Al Hilal bank as a whole. Firstly, we have our corporate retail pattern which is used for all our cards (debit and credit cards), while the sub-patterns are used predominantly for any 3D environments and on some cards as well. The corporate retail pattern in reverse is also used for cards, while the Wealth

When co-branding and using multiple brand names together on a single product or service, Al Hilal Bank needs to have a template on how the logos sit together. The baseline of the logotypes need to always be bottom aligned,

When it comes to advertising, we keep our templates quite open in terms of the type treatment and layout, to allow for a dynamic ad each time. There are some general rules we try to follow, where our margins are consistent and proportional throughout, but the images and headline type size and positioning may vary.
Al Hilal’s advertising campaigns are either corporate or product related. Corporate advertising speaks about the bank as a whole, while all product advertising highlights particular offerings that the bank has to offer. The example above was the first ad printed for the Bank’s launch.

Al Hilal Bank was the sponsor for the Emirati President’s Cup and the following merchandise produced allowed both fans and onlookers to interact with the brand. Inspired by the Cup’s Falcon mascot, the fan glove was branded in the Al Hilal fresh orange.
The mini football, bag and whistle were also branded in true Al Hilal colours. Please note that the logo lock-ups were reversed out white and positioned in the centre of the products. And the logo used here is the dual language stacked master identity.

Al Hilal Bank conveys a very professional, yet approachable look with everything we produce. We generally have a very fresh and minimal finish to both our stationery and printed collateral. With the considered use of our fresh orange, overall there is no real need to overpower the visuals with any printed finishes. There is only the exception of the CEO stationery, where we find the use of gold foil stamping throughout the business cards, letterheads, envelopes and compliment slips.
