Talks: Sustaining A Practice Virginia Verran Artist Talk: Practice Now Wednesday 23 January, 6.30 – 8.30 pm (General Admission £10, ZAP Members £5) Winner of the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2010, painter and drawer Virginia Verran discusses the highs and lows, pressures and expectations of a long-term career in the arts. Rosalind Davis Artist Talk: Do Something, Change It, Change It Again Wednesday 27 February, 6.30 – 8.30 pm (General Admission £10, ZAP Members £5) ‘Make the rules...break the rules.' Zeitgeist Arts Projects’ very own Rosalind Davis talks about crossing boundaries, transformation, surface and space, research, process and sustaining a practice. Davis is a mixed media painter interested in transformation, material and surface, creating paintings of dystopian landscapes that incorporate paint and embroidery. Her work explores the power, presence& socio-politics of urban landscapes. Ceri Hand: The Artist’s Gallerist Talk Wednesday 27 March, 6.30 – 8.30 pm (General Admission £10, ZAP Members £5) Gallerist Ceri Hand talks about her career as a gallerist, the relocation of the Ceri Hand Gallery from Liverpool to London, the pressures of running a commercial gallery and putting artists and the production of new works at the forefront of her gallery's ethos.


Gordon Cheung: Making It Wednesday 17th April, 6.30 – 8.30 pm (General Admission £10, ZAP Members £5) Reaching international success and represented by Alan Cristea Gallery and Edel Assanti, Gordon Cheung is known for his epic, hallucinogenic landscapes. His work explores notions of globalization, shamanism, ritual and sacrifice, exploitation, socio-politics, culture and identity. Cheung works in an array of media including stock page listings spray paint, acrylic and most recently inkjet and woodblock printing. He has exhibited extensively and in 2005 was notably part of The British Art Show 6, which toured the U.K and in the John Moores Painting Prize in 2006. He was commissioned for the Laing Art Solo Award in 2007, and has work in international public and private collections.

Art Tours: Research, Insight & Inspire Fitzrovia Lates: Nettie Horn, Pillar Corrias, Modern Art, Josh Lilley & Ceri Hand Thursday 31st January, 5.30 – 8 pm (and once monthly) (General Admission £12, ZAP Members £8) Led by the founders of Zeitgeist Arts Projects Annabel Tilley and Rosalind Davis, this insider art tour covers a variety of the newly burgeoning art spaces in Covent Garden and Fitzrovia: commercial and artist-led spaces. By speaking to gallery directors, artists and curators we hope to give you an intimate insight into relationship between artist and arts organisation.

Artist Tutorials: Inform & Engage Tutorials are available for ZAP members only. Tutorials last 45 minutes and you can bring either physical works or bring photos or images on a laptop. Virginia Verran Artist Tutorials Wednesday 23 January Virginia Verran is an established internationally acclaimed artist dedicated to painting and drawing, with a wonderful sense of story telling. Verran's work exists on a ground between potentially recognisable images and painted as an independent and physical force.


Graham Crowley Artist Tutorials Saturday 26 January (and once monthly) Graham Crowley is one of the most distinguished living painters in the UK today. His work spans a vast variance in style from the appropriationist art of the 70s to his brilliantly luminous landscapes of the present day, tracking a fundamental narrative with political, cultural and personal histories within them. Freddie Robins Artist Tutorials Wednesday 27 March Internationally acclaimed artist, Freddie Robins perception of knitting as craft by crossing the boundaries of art, design and craft. Her work is held in private and public collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Nottingham Castle Museum, Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museum and The West Norway Museum of Decorative Art, Bergen.
