Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ZETA ETA OMEGA
Greetings: Since 1985 the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Zeta Eta Omega Chapter have sponsored its annual Debutante Cotillion. This year the members of Zeta Eta Omega will host our 31st Annual Debutante Cotillion on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Selma High School Auditorium. This is an exciting time for our debutantes as they culminate their years of grooming, training, learning and experiences as members of the Culturama Club. Some Debutantes started their journey as part of our Jewels Club, transitioning to Junior Culturama, and finally Senior Culturama. We are eager to present our 2016 debutantes to society with the spotlight on them. This year’s Cotillion, “Imagine the Possibilities… A Journey into Excellence,” promises an evening filled with pomp and pageantry. This event will be the start of everything this year’s debutantes can experience as they transition to the next phase of their life, heading toward reaching their goals of becoming successful citizens in their communities. Eleven young ladies from our local area will be presented to society and awarded academic and leadership scholarships. Sit back, relax and enjoy this wonderful and exciting time in these young ladies’ lives as they are formally introduced to society. We wish them the best of luck and Godspeed in their future endeavors. We know they will do well in life as they have been equipped with the necessary tools for lifelong learning and we know they will apply themselves to become the best that they can be. Yours Faithfully,
Elizabeth T. Rutledge Mrs. Elizabeth T. Rutledge President 515 BELL ROAD. SELMA, AL 36701 . POST OFFICE BOX 1003 . SELMA, AL 36702

Greetings: It is with great pleasure and excitement that we present the 31st Annual Debutant Cotillion.
Imagine the Possibilities‌ A Journey into Excellence. Tonight, eleven young ladies of the Selma-Dallas County community will be presented to society. They are aspiring leaders and role models destined to impact society locally, nationally, and internationally. This evening culminates, for some, years of dedication, hard work, and sacrifice that focused on social, educational, and cultural development. Our Debutantes, all high school seniors, have distinct qualities, characteristics, and goals that set them apart from the rest. The Senior Culturama Club has exposed them to important leadership principals, to the importance of service, and has solidified their appreciation for the arts. On behalf of, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Zeta Eta Omega chapter, we want to thank the parents of the Debutantes as well as the parents of the Escorts for supporting this enriching experience. A special thank you also to the local businesses, individual patrons, choreographers, consultants, and Cotillion committee members for the time and effort you gave to ensure the Program’s success. Your support allows Zeta Eta Omega to continue to reach out into the community and serve as much needed mentors to our young ladies. We wish each of you an abundance of blessings and encourage you to continue to support the development of the youth of Selma-Dallas County. Warm Regards,
Danielle Wooten

To our 2016 Debutantes
Patrons for Charlea’ Smith A Pink Heart If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn't oversleep. Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important. The best vitamin for making friends..... B1. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge. One thing you can give and still keep...is your word. You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished. One thing you can't recycle is wasted time. Ideas won't work unless ' You' do. Your mind is like a parachute...it functions only when open. The 10 commandments are not a multiple choice. The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime! It is never too late to become what you might have been.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back. Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away. Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's wrong that we forget what's right and wrong. Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too late. I don't want to let that happen so I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you. Anonymous
