Next, you’ll discover the laundry room, a cloakroom and a side door to outdoors - handy for muddy boots, muddy paws, shopping and the weekend’s chores! Over the ancient high wall the unusual and very charming double bellcote of historical St. Mary’s Church can be seen and admired.

Rural Pursuit Manton village sits on the edge of Rutland Water with paths for exploring and access to open countryside all around for energetic walks, bike rides, bridleways or gentle evening strolls. Various bird watching sites and hides are situated around the shores of Rutland Water where if you’re very lucky you can spot the famous returning Ospreys diving for their fish supper! For your own supper, the very hospitable Horse & Jockey pub serves relaxed pub meals all year round.

Further Afield Where country meets convenience, Manton is also centrally located between three well served East Midlands cities; regular trains operate from their mainline railway stations including Corby 13 miles away, Leicester 21 miles away and Peterborough 22 miles away. 13
