Inventive thinking

More than 60 Year 6 students from St George’s School Windsor Castle, St. Luke’s Church of England Primary School, Maidenhead, and Hythe Community Primary School, Staines, came together last month to take part in the first Accenture ‘Kidovation Day’ to take place in a school anywhere nationally since before the pandemic. Organised and hosted by St George’s School Windsor Castle as part of their Schools in Partnership initiative, the event aimed to inspire the next generation of thinkers, inventors and creators through an immersive learning experience involving ideation, coding and prototype construction.

Working in teams throughout the day, the children followed the principles of design thinking to solve real-world problems, facilitated by management consultants from Fortune 500 company, Accenture.

“It was a real honour to host the first Kidovation Day postpandemic here at St George’s and to share the benefits of this with schools from our partnership,” comments Richard Wilson, Partnerships Lead at St George’s School Windsor Castle. stgwindsor.org
