Exciting experiences for all at Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate

Set in 220 acres of beautiful English countryside between Harrogate and York, Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate (QE) welcomes children from 3 months to 19 years. As well as achieving excellent academic results, QE excels in providing over 100 di erent activities to expose the children to a breadth of extra-curriculars and to let them grow and thrive, wherever their passions lie.

QE is more than just a collection of four schools and a kindergarten, as it provides multiple opportunities to be involved outside of the traditional academic setting. Their Saturday morning performing arts club, King’s Academy, develops skills in acting, singing and dancing for 5 to 11-yearolds. Each year in June, students rehearse and perform a full-length play or musical in front of an audience of friends and family at the professional 330-seat venue, King’s Theatre. These well-received productions provide students with the opportunity to perform live and to apply the new skills they have learnt throughout the year. They are also used to enter the children into Rock School Examinations in Musical Theatre, so they can gain a qualification each academic year. All sessions are run by industry professionals who strive to get the best out of young performers whilst encouraging a fun, safe and friendly environment. Prices are £225 per term. Their popular multi-activity holiday camps, Camp QE, o er an action-packed timetable of activities for 5 to 13-year-olds throughout the school holidays. Every day at Camp QE is di erent, which has led children to say that “it’s the best camp they’ve ever been to”. Each week features a new theme such as Olympics, Spies, Superheroes, and Construction. Activities are created to engage children mentally and physically with a wide variety of activities from sports like dodgeball, swimming, and rock climbing to problem-solving based challenges such as escape rooms, pool inflatables, baking, and scavenger hunts to fun games like slip ‘n’ slide and the famous end-of-the-week pool party. All children are assigned a dedicated Team Leader and can embrace the opportunity to complete challenges to earn team points in exciting week-long competitions.

Parents can rely on their state-of-the-art facilities and high-quality independentschool coaching sta to ensure that their child has a safe, enjoyable learning experience to remember. The camp runs from 9am-4pm with free wraparound care available from 8am-5.30pm. Children aged 7 and above can upgrade to a residential stay that includes an evening meal, shared en-suite accommodation, an evening activity, and free time in their Camp QE common room.
