JACQUELINE JOB
HEAD OF NORMANHURST SCHOOL, NORTH CHINGFORD
Activities in the Early Years are broad and varied. We aim to encourage children’s social, creative, communication and listening skills, as well as physical and emotional development. We encourage children to learn freely in a structured and stimulating environment. They are taught to listen to others and express their own ideas, and we place a high emphasis on kindness, helpfulness, sharing, courtesy and respect for others.
GRETCHEN COPEMAN
HEAD OF OAKLANDS SCHOOL, LOUGHTON
Some of the biggest benefits of an independent Kindergarten are the smaller class sizes. Uniqueness can be celebrated and the individual needs of each pupil developed. Classes also benefit from having qualified teaching assistants, meaning each child receives a high level of attention from the very beginning. Additionally, specialist subject teachers enrich the children’s experiences with other activities such as sport, music, dance and computing.
MOREEN BARNARD HEAD OF COOPERSALE
HALL SCHOOL, EPPING
Starting in Kindergarten will help parents secure a place for their child in Reception, saving them from having to go for further assessments and interview processes at age four. Our children move to their new classes with the security of their friends, already used to the school environment.
CHLOE MOON HEAD OF BRAESIDE SCHOOL, BUCKHURST HILL
All four schools make the most of their locations. We take learning outside the classroom and into the local environment for subjects such as art, science, geography and PE. Epping Forest is on our doorstep, which we make good use of. All Early Years areas have access to a dedicated outdoor space with age appropriate activities and equipment. O site educational trips and learning experiences further enhance our provision.
